Chinthima is only 10min away from the airport. It’s tucked in a quiet street a block away from the main road where all the restos and shops are located. Guesthouse staff are unable to speak English but they are very helpful and will try to understand your requests. I paid $60 for 4 nights for a double room. They have no restaurant so you have to eat at the restos or the markets nearby. There’s no elevator either so be ready to carry your luggage upstairs but the staff will help you anyway. I was in a room at the back facing the roof of a building so it was quite an uninteresting room. Try to get one of the rooms at the front which has a balcony and a view of the front yard instead which I moved into on my 2nd day. The staff cleans the room daily and provides the basic toiletries. There’s hot shower which is a requirement during the chilly winter months. Strong WiFi as well! Coffee, tea and water are free flowing 24/7 at the lobby. Overall, I recommend Chinthima Guesthouse!

Cheap and cheerful

We spent 3 nights at this hotel while in Lnang Namtha. The room was comfortable with a large double bed, powerful hot shower and good AC. The hotel was clean and provided water and tea and coffee. 

The only slight issue we had was a language barrier with the staff though this was soon resolved with the use of google translate. 

The location is good for the main town, only a few minutes walk away. 

A good value, comfortable place to stay if on a budget. 

Good comfortable facilities

Off the main drag down a small quiet road  parallel to main street. Limited English spoken but looks very flash from the outside but cheap enough rooms for us as budget concious travellers. Clean and tidy with good free wifi and free hot and cold water. Cant complain, enjoyed the stay and close to 'town'. Cheers 

Good pad in Luang Namtha

Located off the main street, this quiet guesthouse is a convenient solution when staying in Luang Namtha. The staff doesn't speak much English but it was comfortable, clean and quite cheap. Not being on the main street also means being closer to couple of cheaper restaurants.
