Can't believe the previous reviews? Yes the people are lovely but the place is sub standard. We were in room1 next to reception. The room was dark with no natural light. There was a dirty mattress pushed under our bed. There was nowhere to put out belongings so we had to live out of our suitcases. We didn't even have one chair. The safety deposit box isn't attached to anything. We were supposed to have a terrace but it was just the front of reception. It was not private and very noisy with the receptionists child crying and screaming.

Not as expected

Very basic hotel , but clean and very central. with good sized rooms , some had balconies. Simple breakfast provided . Good Wi-Fi , helpful and very polite staff., who could arrange trips and airport pickup. Air con could be better. Small supermarket next door , and close to all sights. Excellent value for the money.

I recently stayed at the Soutikone 2 quest house hotel in Luang Prabang, Laos, and I have to say it was a great experience. The staff were all very friendly and dedicated, and they went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable.

The room itself was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The bed was especially comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep every night. The hotel is located in a great location, close to the main street and all the cafes and temples in town.

One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast, which was very good. It was a great way to start my day, and I appreciated the variety of options that were available.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Soutikone 2 quest house hotel to anyone visiting Luang Prabang. The service was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. I will definitely be returning again in the future.

A very comfortable stay

A lovely welcome. Good location. A nice family run safe place, helpful with all aspects of travel and things to see and do. Decent enough breakfast too. Can change money at a good rate. What more do you need. Thank you very much for making us feel very welcome

I stayed here for 3 nights, absolutely loved my stay. The room was very clean, and modern with great amenities. The bathroom was also very nice. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the night market and a 10 minute to where the good bars and restaurants are in Luang Prabang.

The staff were so helpful and outgoing, and the breakfast being included was a bonus. For the price we paid I really can not complain as it was insanely good value for money, would recommend.

They are SO SO kind and friendly and just so helpful 
They say hello to you every chance they can with a smile , I just loved it and loved there mood and vibes 

The rooms could use a definable upgrade for sure !!! Almost everything needs upgraded and the bed is pretty hard and pillows even harder 
Bathrooms oh the bathrooms are the worst in my opinion 
Need upgrading 

Very clean rooms though and clean everywhere just need upgrading badly 

Breakfast is very nice and very good !!! 


The Staff ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We were greeted at reception with tea and fruit while rooms were readied. We had the deluxe family room and superior triple, even though only 2 in each room we wanted some space for 5 nights. Glad we did, rooms cosy and totally adequate, good a/c and fan. Our family room had a balcony with fan, only used it once as it was right next to main stairs so not private. Toilet and shower again totally adequate for this level of hotel and cost. Breakfast each morning was great, breads, eggs, fruit, juices, tea, coffee. The price for water and beer was totally acceptable not much more than on the street. 10 minute wander into the old town area. David and Thong we so friendly and helpful. Recommend as a budget option with friendly staff, very clean. 

5 night stay

The staff here are are so friendly and the free breakfast is amazing! The trips here are cheaper than other hotels too! In addition to this the room was a good size and clean! When we got there the Aircon wasn't very good and so I asked the staff if they could check it and when I came back it was so cold! Really reccomend staying here, good location...10mins from the main market!
