Staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The private room is a good size, the beds are comfy and there is a fridge provided. 

The breakfast is good, it’s a good walking location and they are quick with laundry and to help you. 

The pool was a little dirty and our fan only worked on high setting, other wise it was a good stay.

Lovely cheap hostel! Free breakfast is the best we have had so far. The family that runs the place are really nice and helpful. Stayed in a dorm that was just your average dorm, beds comfy and lockers good too. It was great having the pool which was very clean, only two doors down which was fine. Showers are hot and place is clean. Short walk to night market and centre of town about 10/15 mins. Overall lovely hostel would stay again. 

Great for backpacker

We stayed here twice during our laos trip, 9 days in total. The hostel has a nice atmosphere and the family running it are so nice and helpful. The hostel is very clean as rooms are cleaned very day, even new towels are provided every day. The breakfast is very good. All of this and you have to consider this is the cheapest option with breakfast, pool and ac included! 

Very clean, good breakfast

Simple guesthouse with friendly staff. Location is a bit of a walk to the centre. Room is small but clean and lighting very dim plus my table lamp is broken so is not working...Open one of the windows is you don't mind. Aircon not cool enough but wifi works fine, no much toiletries except 2 small bar of soap. Breakfast is simple, you pick from the reception on the menu. My order for egg noodle soup was not well done...noodle not cooked tasted like rubber.  I booked this place because it has a pool but is 2 doors away in the sister guesthouse, small pool with lots of chlorine just good for a dip to cool off the hot and dry weather.  My basin in the room water hose broken and said to be fixed the next day, but not done at all... I have to shower and at the same time brushing my teeth for 2 days.  And the door alignment was bad, the guest opposite my room on the TV  so loud throughout the night, is so disturbing hearing the noise of the tv loud and clear. They have a wooden safe box, but you must have your own lock.

Good for Budget Traveller!

I booked this place because it is one of the few that has a pool. What I didn’t know is that the pool is behind a gate that is locked at 7pm, and the pool has a very grimy dirty ring around the tiles, also there is a greasy film on the water. 

I actually stayed 2 doors down which has another name but is run by the same place. I stayed in private Room 26. The air conditioner did not work. Also no drinking water is provided, the sheet on the bed (although washed) was stained, as were the towels. There was no mattress protector, just the thin sheet on mattress. There is a mechanic business under the window which is noisy, there is no daylight, no toiletries are provided and not one single hook to hang a towel or similar. The bedside lamp on one side didn’t work, the fridge, fan and broken aircon make so much noise sleeping is impossible and it is a relatively long walk to the night market and Main Street. There was something sticky left behind by the previous person and not cleaned, and ants in the room.

Breakfast was good, many choices. 

I changed to a cheaper place (no pool) that provides drinking water, daylight, toiletries, a working air conditioner and a quiet room. 

Better off booking a guest house where the air conditioner workd

For five days here, I was very satisfied with the rooms. The air conditioner worked, the bathrooms were dandy, and wifi for the majority was  dependable. The pool was just next door and a perfect place to go to on the hot days. The staff was friendly and  set up a lot of transportation for us! It was a great cheaper, option!

All around place to crash for a few days!

Not many places offer a pool, free breakfast and all the tea and coffee you can drink(although not the best coffee) comfortable bed hot water at a good pressure, T. V. And aircon for this price. People should realise and not be so negative towards this establishment. Yes you are more people staying there than there are seats at breakfast but you can have a drink and wait 10 minutes. Sit on the steps chat to the other people and relax. If you are in a rush then maybe you should have got out of bed sooner. Nice atmosphere round the pool and rooms cleaned everyday if you wish. Great little place.

- Tour arrangements and rides can be made with the front desk.

- Workers communicate in English.

Cons - location is about 15 to 20 minute walk from the Night Market and city center.
- There are two Auto Mechanic shops in front and on the left of the buildings.
Which means constant motor bikes, tire changing and hammering all day.

- Not enough sitting rooms for Breakfast.
- Only Instant Coffee and powdered cream and sugar is provided .

-Bathrooms need a little TLC and scrubbing . Mold growing in the corners.

- Showers are not separate , the floors get super wet with puddles

- Doors are crooked not aligned.

- Walls and Doors are paper thin

- Limited TV channels 

- Not a lot of shops or marts to buy toiletries or food on the street.

- Please change the light bulb above your stairs near the pool , somebody is bound to slip and fall in the dark.

WiFi not accessible in certain rooms.

Overall this place would be perfect for someone on a budget and looking for a straight forward place to sleep and shower.
