This was the first guesthouse we stayed at in Laos PDR, and the truth is that it was a very unpleasant experience. We made the booking for 23 of august and paid by AGODA, and we also advertised beforehand that we would arrive very late from the airport, around 11.00 p.m. We arrived about that hour, and we found the receptionist of the guesthouse asleep. After several attempts, we managed to wake him up and to our displeasure, the man was in a state of total drunkenness. He took a long time to understand that we were new guests and to give us the key to a bedroom.

The next morning, around 06.00 a.m., we woke up with alarm because a man was traying to open the door of the bedroom. It turned out to be responsible of the guesthouse. We protested that we were inside and we were still sleeping. In an hour, he returned and urged us down to reception. When we went downstairs he asked us to pay for the stay. Due to his state of drunkenness, he did not remember that the reservation was made and paid for by AGODA. We explained it to him. But later, he returned to our room and urged us to go down again, in order to explain the same to his wife.

Luckily, in Laos people are not like that. The rest of guesthouses were normal or great and the courtesy of the laotians exquisite. For all this, we DO NOT recommend anyone this guesthouse.

Very bad attention

We moved from our first guesthouse to Sokphankham which was cheap and clean here but WiFi seemed better on the lower floors.We stayed in the room with the window which was much better. If we want to visit Vientiane and want to save our money.We will stay here again for sure
