The old wooden architecture has gained a new lease of life. Good location in the city. It is easy to choose leisure options. There is a cafe in the building. Shop, tram, old town and promenade are nearby. The Fontaine network has a whole world where you forget everyday life in a charming way. 

A charming place for a holiday in Liepaja city

The old building, the staff, the terrasse, the atmosphere, the food, the decoration, the rooms and LIVE JAZZ. Liepaja deserves a stop if you visita Latvia and this Hotel is without any doubt the place to stay. We'll never forget this Magic Hotel. 

Pure magic

Historic, quaint and quirky. A shabby chic paradise. Location is amazing, great to have use of the kitchen and lounge, amazing value. Not for anyone who likes a standard hotel room. Staff lovely and helpful. In our room (19) we could hear traffic on the cobbled road behind but it wasn't used very much. One rustic bed was short and the other was narrow so we swapped for the second night. Nice to have an outdoor eating area.

Quirky and Convenient

Fontaine hotel is a very cool place for a couple of nights stay - it is in the center of Liepaja, right next to a river. Interior is vintage/ royal/ kitsch. I recommend staying in the suite - it has a jacuzzi next to the bed, it's the most expensive room. The breakfast is very good as well. Also there's deli snack in the building, which is also great

Awesome interior, cool location

Fontaine Hotel is located in 2 old wooden buildings. We were staying in one which doesn't have cafeteria in it. Building has about 8 rooms on two floors. Here is common room and kitchen as well. Decorations are in typical Fontaine kitsch style with all kind of strange attributes. Location is very central, right beside new concert hall. Free parking just outside of building. We were provided with wi-fi passwords, but unfortunately here was no wi-fi in the building. May be they forgot to turn it on? In winter time bathroom floor was quite cold.

Stay in amazing XIX century wooden house

We stayed one night at the Fontaine which i believe is different to the Fontaine Royal... i loved it. We stayed in the basement room no 13. and our friends stayed in no.9. Our room was in a separate house from the main building, it was a last minute booking and these were the last rooms available. 

The basement room was very clean and comfortable but there is a slight smell as you would expect from a basement room, and unfortunately you can hear the people walking around upstairs, plus the slight sound of a toilet flushing every so often, but that aside i slept very well. 

Our friends didnt sleep so well  they had skylight windows and it was raining so hard the sound kept them awake. 

I loved the deco of the place all the quirky weird styles of the different rooms, It is however a little bit like a hostel feel to it with people playing loud music, coming and going etc.

Fun interesting hotel

VERY BAD experience! The hotel staff didn’t inform us that in the “garden” heavy metal music plays until 2AM! And it plays loud! Our room window was just near the speaker. This was driving mad not only me but also my 7 years old child. I called to reception to ask to lower down the volume because it is impossible to sleep and in the room tries to sleep also my 7 years old child but the cheerful guy on the phone promised “to do something” and nothing had changed. The torment went on until 2AM! But that’s not all – the music started playing at 8AM! So you can imagine how much sleep we had after intensive day visiting Liepaja. I am not against the music but I didn’t come here to music festival. The hipster staff didn’t give a damn that together with me there is also a small child. Thank you for the “hospitality” - we are really impressed how you “care” about the guests and run the business!
Liepaja – is very attractive place and I am sure to come back to this nice and pleasant town.
