My husband and I stayed at this place for 1 night. When we arrived, we called the number provided in booking.com, but no answer. Turned out there was another number we needed to call which was advertised on the house door. The owner greeted us (they live next door), but then was confused about which room to give us or where the keys are. Running around the household and calling someone she finally managed to find some keys. In booking it was said that there is a private bathroom, but that means the toilet, not washing facilities. For a shower you need to go to another house, where there is a tiny toilet with shower. Unfortunately our bad luck continued and there was no hot water, the water was not even warm.  In the advertising it was said that toiletries were included and that meant a piece of soap and half a roll of toilet paper. 
The room itself was nicely decorated, but reeked of smoke. For non smokers it was absolutely disgusting. There was no ventilation in the room and when you open the window only more smoke came in, because people smoke in the yard. Ok, so totally baffled by this place it was late and we decided to stay. We had to pay in cash and when I asked for a check she said it is her home and she will not give any check. I’m sure this is not the correct way to do business in Latvia. 
But it was not the end of surprises. In the middle of the night we woke up, because the bed dropped about 10cm. Under the bed there are two wooden sticks holding it up (see the pictures). At some point they just gave in.
On a positive note the sheets and towels were nice and clean, the house itself and the garden looked lovely.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, we did not feel welcome at all.
