Nice hostel. The room was clean and big (compared to other hostels). The common places were also clean. The bathrooms are in common but they are a lot. So, especially if you travel in group, getting ready in the morning is very quick. The place is not very far from the center. There is also a mall nearby so you can find every thing you need

Average hostel

I visited Riga last week with a couple of classmates and we stayed at Elizabeth’s Youth Hostel. Our first impression already was a bit negative because of the shower which was probably cleaned months ago? Well, it was not clean at all. Moreover, the beds were an absolute disaster. My friend and I saw a bed bug walking over another bed. On top of that, all of my roommates (4 person) were bitten by bed bugs and now, five days later and back in our hometown, we all have itchy red spots all over our arms, hands and back. When was the last time the pillows and blankets were washed??? An absolute shame.....

BED BUGS ALERT!!!

The rooms themselves are large and appear to be immaculate at first sight(for a hostel at least). However, it turned out to be quite the opposite. Besides the dirty floor and curtains, all of the people who stayed in our room now have bed bugs. This is not only annoying, but also shows that the bed linens are not washed as frequently as they should be. All in all, I would not recommend this hostel.

Bed bugs!

The curtains in the room were very thin and a light shown through the whole night.  The reception was on the second floor with no elevator.  The rooms and building were dated and worn.  There was no kitchen area.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.  It had a very small lounging area and difficult to meet other travelers. The hostel is centrally located and within walking distance to trams, buses, the mall, and restaurants.  Overall it was a good experience and we would gladly return.

Rain in Riga

I have ordered quadruple room, but when we arrived, we have received 6-bed room. We felt like a kings there :) Wi-Fi was stable, but sometimes slow. Location was extremely good, Origo shopping center was 5 min away on foot. The staff were rarely there (for us it was a good thing), because receptionist is at the hostel only until 7 PM. 
There is no A/C in the rooms. Beds are uncomfortable. Dissapearing light after 5 seconds of not movement in the toilet was annoying and stupid, because you must always move standing or sitting there if you want light always shine. It was very uncomfortable and strange. But toilets and bathrooms were clean.
