Booked in advance: upon arrival - paid in Euro: no receipt at the reception; room #8: no hot water, no fridge, no shampoo, no soap, 1 small towel, malfunctioning TV remote control, window in the bathroom - directly opposite (to 1 micron) a private house 20 m away: excellent viewing position (almost a movie where a teenager admires a naked girl until somebody kills her). That can't happen in this lousy place, anyway, who would be smart enough to wait 10 min (!) before water becomes hot.

The receptionist guided me to the kitchen, instructed to pour tap water into a kettle and make a cup of coffee by pouring hot water over cheap ground coffee. Asked about water safety in that area, she told me it depended, so I'd better go a shop to buy me some bottled water, just in case. Then she politely advised I wash the cup. I obeyed as I wanted to know when this idiot movie would end. So I drank my coffee standing in the corner: the table was covered with dirty dishes and leftovers.

The TV had 2 musical channels (one showing 24/7 such silly Polish songs that I almost felt it was an amateur show in a village) + several channels in Lithuanian + 1 in Russian (from Prague).

The receptionist showed me that one had to wait 5-10 minutes until water gets hot: there was a half-empty bottle with something that suspiciously looked and smelled like my kitchen lemon-scented dishwashing liquid. Probably, meant for guests who are supposed to wash cups in this strange place's kitchen.

The next day the receptionist told me that if I came and found the front door closed, I'd have to go to the parking lot across the street - the key might be there.

Of all three days I spent there - the towels were changed once (same with the waste basket). The bed is just terrible. The room brought me back to 1980s - exactly a far-away place for Soviet engineers to enjoy. 

In general, it's a shame to find such a lousy hostel in such a good city. 
Stay away at all costs - we have to teach the owners a lesson!
