The hotel itself is lovely, in a quieter rural area and a great base for exploring the city without the chaos and bustle. It is ideally placed for the transport network and the owner is pleasant. He offered me a lift to the restaurant I visited as I was with no car and local taxis are hard to come by. However, there are currently extensive building works being carried out on the building itself, building materials everywhere, no carpets, and men commenced work on the roof adjacent to my room at 7am with hammers and drills (6am for me having just arrived from the U.K) No mention of this occurred before my stay and I have to be honest, waking up to this sound, which was absurdly loud, frightened me so much I didn't stop shaking for about an hour! I thought the roof was falling in! No apology or explanation was made. I couldn't believe they would let the room right under the builders! It entirely ruined the first day of my holiday. So yes, book here, but wait until the building has ceased!

Be Careful When To Stay

A friend of mine and I stayed here for one night as we were dining at the Lea Linster restaurant in town. It is close to town (we walked to the restaurant) and tastefully decorated. The staff were very welcoming and the rooms were very comfortable, including large shower, couch, and comfy bed. The breakfast the next day was quite substantial, even though, as far as we could tell, we were the only guests. A great bargin!

As one comes off the A13 for Frisange, the hotel is there on the corner of the roundabout.  The double glazing means that one doesn't hear the traffic.  Plenty of free parking, some in the front where years ago there used to be petrol pumps!  Over the road is the park and ride so it may be possible to stay at the hotel and use the P+R direct link to Luxembourg city centre.
This hotel has plenty of history but since we were last there has been modernised and re-decorated to a high standard.
The bar still looks a bit old-fashioned but we enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant with views out to the country.  The breakfast was an excellent buffet.
If one wants some exercise then there is a walk passing the side of the hotel.

We stayed one night at the hotel. 
Easy free parking close to the entrance.
We were welcomed by friendly staff, check in was easy.
There are no lifts in the hotel, no problem for us but I guess it will be a problem for some.
The hotel room we had was newly renovated, very clean and size was decent. 
Breakfast was basic but did the job.
The hotel is located within walking distance to the Lea Linster restaurant.

Value for money

The hotel is located on the Luxembourg-France border. The rooms were renovated, clean and up to date and so was also the bathroom. Staff is ok with the exception of the owner (or manager) who was extremely undfriendly -shame on you!
