While Kautenbach is a little away from the Luxembourg City, the hotel is located very close to the train station. My single room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. My every basic need was well covered at an affordable price point.

Nice, clean, affordable hotel

Awful people who run this place. Despite patiently waiting for any kind of response after they pointedly ignored my friend with black skin, I eventually got shouted at by the female at the bar.  We left only to have the husband who’d ignored us all, run out to shout at us in Dutch for parking in a place he didn’t like. Please don’t spend your money here… these people should choose a career which suits them. In my opinion and based on how they behaved, they are RUDE, RACIST, IGNORANT People

BEWARE! Rude, Racist Owners

We didn't actually go to the hotel. I called today to ask about their serving times for food on Sundays. I was told "No lunch!" So I asked about evening meals instead, "No!" 
I asked about food on Saturdays instead and was told, "No food! We're a hotel!"
As I tried to find out more, the person on the other end put the phone down on me. 
Poor attitude and clear that non-residents are not welcome. We won't be making an effort to visit anytime soon.

Dire customer service!

Terrible service, speak only Dutch, we were fired like sh*t.  You should do something else in your life if you don’t appreciate people. Don’t speak English nor French. I highly recommend to avoid this place, and moreover bikers are not welcome!

Horrible experience- run away

This friendly family hotel is located in the heart of the Luxembourgian Ardennes, in the Our Nature Reserve Park. It offers functional rooms, free WiFi and , good place to start hiking the Eislek trial.

Friendly Staff, very nice area

Very unfriendly approach by the owner. She was not cooperative towards my son. We ordered a cappuccino and it did not taste good at all. The atmosphere is not friendly theres Too bad for such a place.

The place looks great, a good terrace for a coffee. Until some undefined create starts shouting at guests just about everything. Unbelievable what a anti social behaviour. So instead of taking a break and enjoying lunch with some nice drinks we just carried on and left those very unfriendly people be...

The cook is a neanderthaler like  creature

Just returned from hiking the Escapardenne-Eisleck trail with our group of four friends from the U.S. Owner Rudy and wife Bertie were gracious hosts and welcomed us with beers and a homemade gourmet dinner that evening. Excellent location directly across from a beautiful old church right on the river. Great conversations. Highly recommended.

Great location & excellent service!

Absolutely disappointing!
Working as a tour guide I was on an exploration tour for guests on the Escapardenne Lee trail with a friend.
At the end of the walk we wanted to drink a coffee at the Hotel's pub. We sat down on the veranda, waiters ran up and down, nothing else happened, not even a " Hello" or "coming soon". So I decided to go inside...
I was never before treated that unfriendly and insulting by a "host".Before I could even ask a single word I was thrown out and had to listen to some really 
inappropriate words.
So we went away.
Now I know at least where never to go in the area.

Worst service award winner

We  were a party of six and  stopped  here  for a beer. I went in to order and was told rudely to go outside and wait. Service was slow. Because we arrived at different times  we ordered in a couple of stages and we also ordered some refills. To our last request for a refill the waitress said "No. Do you think I am foolish? Every time I come to the table you ask for something else."  No drink was forthcoming. Eventually she was persuaded to bring the  drink which she served grudgingly. I don't think I've ever come across a bar where customers are treated so rudely. On the plus side the argumentpple tart was very good and if you can persuade them to serve you, it's a pleasant setting for a drink.
