Would recommend this B & B to anyone and will definitely stay again. Great location, about 20 minutes walk into the city, but with the lovely area of Hoole just around the corner. Spotlessly clean accommodation in a beautiful victorian house, for our stay beautifully decorated for Christmas.  Breakfast delicious, good selection and the full English was very tasty.

Lovely stay in Chester

Fantastic place to stay. Very friendly family, great room, great location, easy to get to on the 102 or 101 bus. Get off at ‘buy the sea’ use google. Tip go through the mosque all the way to the back gate. Baba is next door. Yes you hear the prayer call every morning.

The location of this place couldn't be better, with in meters of the beach.

The family that live there and run the place are lovely and entertaining with a tourtoise and a cat that are their pets who like to say hi when you come back!

Good for backpackers who want to stay out of the main hubbub of Gegorgetown!

Friendly, unique, great location

I can’t really say much about the accommodation itself, because we didn’t get a chance to spend our night in the two rooms previously booked.. The problem was our two little daughters and the fact that we booked apparently rooms upstairs where children are not accepted, because of the noise and client’s complaining...No matter that we arrived at 6pm and we only wanted to spend one night...

So be careful when choosing a room with your kids and maybe even ask yourself if you want to spend a night here..

Clean and friendly, but not for kids!

This place in Batu Ferringhi, steps from the beach, is a gem. A taxi driver brought me there a few years back. I've been going back ever since. Good for long-term as well as short term. Very helpful owner, Mr. Liang, and his family. They look out for guests and if something breaks, they fix it. A/C, hot water shower, plenty of comfort. You can hear the call to prayer from the mosque in back, so if that is a problem, only high-price hotels will do. I don't mind.

Low-cost very friendly guesthouse

Close to the beach which was great! Noisy as it is very close to a mosque. It has been built in a hurry and isn’t very pretty, walls are just wood. Lots of bugs can get in as the roof doesn’t meet the walls. Beds are okay but have seen better days. Make sure you get a room with the new air conditioning as the old ones do nothing. 
Very friendly staff but I wouldn’t stay again. 

This place was exactly what my friends and I were looking for. Extremely friendly staff, clean, comfortable, affordable, hot water/ aircon and only 50m walk from the beach. The ownership was very helpful in assisting with an early morning taxi service who came promptly at 4am. Directly across the street there's an amazing beach bar called Beach Combers. Go visit Tony for some world class service, local craft beers, cocktails and shisha. He took such good care of us we felt like we were on a cruise. We later found out he used to be an F&B manager on a cruise ship. Overall extremely happy with the guesthouse and location.

Perfect Budget Accomodation

I booked late for New Year and was limited in my choice of places so decided "location" was the go.  I was not disappointed as Baba is a stone's throw from the beach at the back of the main shopping street.

The owners are local Chinese and very pleasant and helpful.

My room was simple but clean and air conditioned with its own bathroom.  What more do you need.  Outside there was a large communal balcony whereby there was a view of the sea (and ashtrays for smokers).  The common areas were clean but dated.

The only downside was noise but that's to be expected in such a good location.  I did manage to sleep.

The cost was the icing on the cake, very affordable yet in an expensive area.
