It is a hostel with very poor service and it is not worth paying 23 RM per night for the dorm. The staff is unfriendly and unpolite.

We stayed here for 4 days in the dorm for 6 people and it was acceptable as long as we had the small room for ourselves. But as soon as more people came it was super uncomfortable to stay longer. There is no space for our backpacks and also no possibility to lock your money/ passport or laptop. No shelves or cupboards or lockers. We basically had to climb over all the stuff lying on the floor to get to our beds. Plus: the AC startet to make loud noises in our last night. The beds itself were ok, but a little smelly. 
Breakfast is poor and from 7 to 11 but you have to wake up the staff sleeping on the couch at 8 am to be able to sit at the table for breakfast and catch annoyed gazes for interrupting their sleep. Additionally they run out of butter and peanut butter without even caring when we asked if they have more. Don´t get me wrong - I accept poor breakfasts without any problems but showing openly how annoyed you are by guests  and being grumpy when they ask you something is really not ok.  
Also the internet is horrible. As long as you don´t have a local sim card its completely useless. Connection is not constant and slow. 

I would recommend to spend either a bit more money and go next door. BandB@21 has super friendly staff (we stayed in their garden in the afternoons) or go to Backpackers lodge on the other side of the road. They have same conditions to far better prices (we paid 16 RM per night for the dorm for our next 5 days).

Low budget does not have to be poor service!

The room was cleaned. The overall service were quite good. The receptionists are friendly. They even gave us a very warm welcome. If you need anything, they will try their best in providing their guest a good service. I was touched when the "taukey" itself sent us to the terminal bus when there's no taxi. Thank you for the hospitality! 😊

Love it!

The hostel is run by a very nice couple. Angel is super nice and very lovely. She helped us arrange our flights after experiencing problems. The hostel is very basic and if you are a backpacker, low budget, and just looking for the basics (as a backpacker should, otherwise go book a 5star hotel) then this is the place. It's comfortable, quite clean, the outside deck is lovely to site and relax at, and best of all the location is perfect: it's quiet yet in the center of the city and at the upper part of the city as well as close to the harbor for boat trips to the island. We stayed 3 nights, and I stayed an extra night due to my flight being cancelled because of a typhoon in Hong Kong. Angel was more than willing to help me out and give me a room for a night last minute. I would definitely stay here again.

Just what a backpacker needs

Hostel is run by a nice couple . Very accommodating and courteous. 

Bedsheets are clean but rooms can be quite small for 8 pax. But good enough for backpackers. 

Toasts and jam Breakfast is set uo every morning at the balcony and.sometimes you see monkeys nearby. Which is cute.

Great location near the pier. The mall. And bus stop to airport.

Affordable rooms. Interesting balcony set up

We stayed here twice as we left our bags here whilst we went to Semporna. Both times I got bitten badly by bed bugs in 2 separate rooms. We checked out early the second time as I was covered in bites. Beware of the double rooms.
Hostel its self is ok. Showers a bit dirty and breakfast is rubbish.. just bread and jam.
