Probably too expensive for what it is. The door of the room doesn't close very well, TV was not working, no window  as the picture, the room doesn't look very clean but the bed seems ok.
The hotel is well located at walking distance to the transport, bus terminal Pudu sentral, Bukit Bintang area.

Just for one night

We take a double room with a shared bathroom and no window. Fortunately, it is clean and the towels are nice. The Internet is available in the lobby downstairs and in the corridors, not in the room. The location is great.

Very bad hotel, the price is not same with the quality that will u get.. the dirty sharing bathroom make u feel lazy to take a bath.. I got room at the 2nd level and I must lift my baggage by its stair.. 😥

Not Good Enough

This is a truly terrible hotel, not a hotel, very much a poor poor hostel. From the outset the reception staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. The cost of the room was plus 6% tax and MYR10 per night tourism tax. This makes this hotel very poor value for money when you work it out. In any event this hotel is so bad it is not worth any money to stay there. Upon check in we were presented with a much higher bill than we anticipated as the tourism tax was added, as we had just arrived in KL we did not know about this tax. It would not have been a problem had we been made aware, it did not appear on our booking confirmation as confirmed extra cost which simply listed the room price plus 6%. (Hotel Pudu 88 have since changed the booking.com page to reflect this additional charge) Throughout this legitimate dispute regarding misinformation the staff were extremely rude and unapologetic. As it was late at night and we needed to rest we relented and checked in paying the additional tax that had not been mentioned. In hindsight we should have received the attitude of the staff as an indication as to how bad we would discover this hotel was.

The whole place is falling in to disrepair, the public areas are tired and in serious need of updating. Floors, walls and in particular bathrooms are dirty and paint is pealing off. There does not appear to be a cleanliness routine at this hotel. The bedrooms are very basic and unwelcoming. Decoration is old and tired. Our bedroom had a double bed in it which was comfortable enough but herein lies the biggest problem of the week that we faced. Our room was riddled with BED BUGS. We suspected as much after the first night and this was confirmed after night two when my partner and I were seriously bitten all over our bodies. When we complained the staff we evidently unsurprised and after some persuasion offered to move us to a different room later on in the day. When we saw this second room there was bugs in the bed when we looked at it and the bed was clearly not clean. The manager told my partner this was an ant! Clearly a bug of some kind in the bed!

After terrible experiences with the unsympathetic staff and not wishing to remain in this terrible hotel any more we located and visited the Tourism Centre of Malaysia in KL, and consulted with them. They were incredible and consulted with Pudu 88 who agreed to refund us for the 4 nights we had not stayed, including all taxes and deposit. Consequently we left this hotel before our third night as we could not stand it any longer. As we left the staff did offer an apology of sorts, but in truth it felt as though this was superficial and coming from a highly demoralised and ill equipped staff group.

To summarise the staff in this hotel are rude and unhelpful but are left dealing with an awful, dirty and poorly maintained building which is not their doing. Their policies prevent them from using discretion in giving refunds to customers.

The building needs condemning and the hotel shutting down. We chose this place to attempt to save some of our limited travellers budget, we moved on to the Rainforest Hotel in China Town for the remaining 4 nights of our 6 nights in KL for slightly more money. This hotel was a world away and represents the best of what a budget hotel/hotel should be and all that Pudu 88 was not.

Bed Bugs - never ever stay here.

Room was dirty. Only one toilet shared by the whole floor. Staff was extremely unprofessional, shuttle to airport extremely overpriced (45 ringgit. Plus they made me pay 10 more for the payroll! and they almost lost my passport and asked me to pay 200 ringgit for someone to bring it to me to the airport even though it was their fault in the first place. And that's not all they wanted me to send a picture of the money as well!! Would not recommend this place even to my worse enemy!!

Terrible

We stayed for 3 nights in a budget room.

The room was small, have a window, ac works well, too cold for a small room, clean bedsheets, but not much space to move around. For a place to sleep, its alright. 
Our room was on the third floor, so u have to climb all the way up. The wifi works well and fast. No funny smell because they have the ventilation. But no privacy because of the thin wall. 

Bathroom was so so, so basic, slow water pressure. Kindly ask or get your own toilet paper. 

Location is a great deal here. Walking distance to most of the place. Chinatown, bukit bintang and more. There’s metro station close by. So to move around by foot is easy from here. 

Never get to the breakfast, so no comment. 

Receptionist, sometimes they’re not there. If u ring the bell from the outside, u might have to wait for couples of mins before they open the door.

For sleep, not too bad for the cheap deal.

People still have complain regarding behaviour of staff members in this hotel ..actually hostel .
All d best to choose this hotel as your last option .

Cant expect anything 

This place is a horrible mistake! I've never been treated in such a rude and unprofessional  way!! I booked a room online and AFTER check-in and paying for 3 nights it turned out that there is no water since morning (I checked in around 4pm. and nobody informed me about this situation!!). I talked to staff and they told me that the problem with water is in  a whole city.  I asked about it in a restaurant and another hotel nearby and they didnt have any problem with a water!! After a long and exhausting way and being lied to I decided to change hotel and I asked staff to give me money back. The woman working there didnt offer me any solution when I told her my problem. She SHOUTED at me and behaved really agressive!! I tried to talk to "manager" but he also didnt want to help me,  trying to avoid the conversation as much as it's possibile. I stayed there more or less one hour trying to get any information about my situation!! Suddenly they both disappeared in a second room, so I stayed there for the next hour. Nobody informed me if they are going to cancel my reservation.  After few hours waiting, intervention from booking.com  and many unpleasant words from a really agressive staff I received my money back.
But the way I was treated is impossible to understand!! The AGRESSIVE, SHOUTING staff, totally UNPROFESSIONAL "manager", who "tried to solve a problem with water" instead of talking to the dissatisfied customers make this place a big mistake!!!  I',ve never seen such a rude abd unprofessional staff. 
After the whole situation i told "manager" about a rude behavior from the employees and he told that "they are like mirrors which take the emotions from customers".
That was the worst experience with a hostel during my trip to Asia. I suggest everybody to avoid this place!!!!!!

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!

We booked this hostel mainly for the price, £8 for a night in a double bed with "breakfast".  
The thing is that only the bed was good.
Toilets and showers were disgusting, staff was quite ghostly... and not really helpful, breakfast was just cheap bread, cheap peanut butter and cheap jam. Cutlery and table were were quite dirty and there was only 2 tables with 8 chairs for the whole hostel...
Also, the fans in the corridor are really loud... 
I didn't enjoy that hostel, we slept there one night then moved to an other one in China town.

Spend a bit more and go elsewhere...

Ultimate budget hotel, good for a night. Rooms are very small and basic. Breakfast is toast and spreads, tea and coffee. No windows. Rooms are dark and simple. Bed is comfortable. Would recommend room without bathroom as the bathroom is tiny
