Aside from the other reviews, I really enjoyed my 1 week stay here.  The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms are smallish, but very comfortable with big bathrooms and good WiFi.  There are many little restaurants within a 5 minute walk, and food/shopping markets in the afternoon.  Very quiet in rooms despite being near a busy road.  Close to metro, and only 15 mins by taxi from twin towers/market streets/temples etc.  Overall, I think its great, and will stay again on my next visit.  Honestly, It has been underrated.

I would not particularly recommend staying at the Nest Boutique Hotel.

The location isn't bad in terms of convenience, particularly its proximity to a monorail station. However, it certainly isn't one of the more central or interesting parts of Kuala Lumpur: look to Chinatown, Little India, Bukit Bintang or other parts of the Golden Triangle for more enjoyable (albeit slightly pricer) options. 

The staff were friendly and helpful, but played music loudly in the entry area at all hours. This is particularly problematic as the "business centre" is positioned directly above reception making it a most unproductive  environment if you're passing through for work.

The rooms were very clean. However, I disliked the fact that the (very small) hotel room did not have a window. My colleague and I had booked five nights in this hotel and felt we were staying in a box the entire time. Apparently guests have to choose between a window that looks on to the main road (and is consequently extremely noisy) or a lack of natural light and air.

This isn't a bad hotel - it just isn't a good one either. Look a little further.

Mediocre but cheap

We are a couple travelling around south east asia and australia. 
The nest is in a good location, roughly about 10 minute walk from the main shopping malls and Petronas Towers. The hostel itself had a relaxed vibe to it and we found the room to be very clean if a little cosy but  good value for money.  Only negative is that they charged us an extra night despite us requesting an early check in, and we only knew they charged us an extra night on check out.

What attracted me to this hotel was the low price for a single room. I paid only $25.

The room for double occupancy is $45 and that is a rip off considering the hotel's out-of-center location and numerous disadvantages.

The myriad of problems of this hotel are:

 #1: If you are escaping the noise and traffic of more central areas of KL by coming here you are in for an unpleasant surprise. There is a very loud night club next to the hotel. It operates from midnight to 5am every night.

#2: Room is depressing, small and is as far from "boutique" as a frozen hot dog is from "gourmet".

#3: There are only Chinese channels on TV (that is all 4 of them). Oh, and one English sports channel.

#4: If you still entertain the notion that you are in a boutique hotel, the uninterested staff do their level best to dispel this silly idea by listening to loud music and screaming at each other across the hall.

If you do choose to stay here you can catch bus U41 or U48 to central areas in KL.
Buses run frequently and you can catch them from the bus stand that is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

They take you very near Times Square shopping center and the monorail from where you can get to KL Sentral or Bukit Bintang.
