first of all, i am writing this review to let others know what to expect.  i booked this hotel for 4 nights on booking.com as i have done so many times in the past for other hotels. i thought that was it and i didn't have to worry about it.  but i was wrong.  two days after i booked it, i got a whatsapp message from the hotel.  i did not give them permission to contact me via whatsap and i was very annoyed that they contacted through whatsapp.  further, the message was in the malay language even though i booked the hotel in english, and on the hotel's website, they advertise that they speak the languages of the guests.  i sent a message back informing that i don't speak malay.  they then sent two messages in horrible english so that i still did not understand.  when i told them that i did not understand, they did not send anymore messages.  when i translated the message on google translate, i found out that they requested me to go to a maybank atm and deposit rm80.  then there was this long list of instructions to send my travel and identification info via email along with the bank slip.  i guess i was supposed to scan the bank slip.  fortunately, i was able to cancel the reservation without being charged.  i have never experienced anything so ridiculous before
