There were 4 bad spirits that kept on disturbing me in Room 1-1 while I was asleep. They kept on touching me until I couldn't sleep at all. When I could no longer tolerate, I woke up my husband and told him to bring his pillow and shift to our friend's room instead. In there the bad spirit still followed me so I barely sleep the entire night.

On the following day, I made a complaint to the Front Desk and I was told that they are in fact aware of such bad spirits especially in Room 1-1. I was so upset and told them that they should not allow this to happen. They should at least conduct prayer to that room so that the bad spirits will leave and will be at peace; otherwise, they should not open the room for guests to occupy.

Worst is, the bad spirit still followed me to Kuala Lumpur. The whole night I was not feeling well and could not sleep at all. On the following day, I was totally sick and was suffering from a terrible headache; that was the time that I called on my Sifu friend to come over to my office and have me checked. Upon conducting prayers, I felt a bit better already. On that night, I was already feeling well and was able to sleep peacefully. The sifu told me that the one who followed me was an old lady.

I plea to the management of this hotel to offer more prayers to those poor spirits so they will be in peace.

Had a terrible and frightening experience! Bad spirits in Room 1-1!

Stayed for one night at this hotel with my family (wife and 1-year old child). It is essentially a converted shoplot, with a relatively modern facade, well-presented outlook and a clean and comfortable lobby area

Room (Standard):

The room was decently spaced with good, clean linens and a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the room's overall cleanliness, especially the bathroom which was littered with lizard droppings and had obviously not been recently washed. Furthermore, the cabinet on the bottom of the sink was spoilt (it could not close); even if it was functioning properly, we would not have used it as the inside was rather dirty. Also, for some reason, the sink attracted many ants - not ideal. 

The bathroom is separated by a glass partition and can only be covered by drawing a large curtain. While an interesting design concept, some may find it to be inconvenient and may not appeal to all. Room walls were rather thin, where outside noises could be heard quite clearly. 

Location:

Perhaps the best feature of this hotel. Very centrally located and within relatively close proximity to all main attractions in Sekinchan. Many eateries and even some convenience stores (7-11, 99 Speedmart) on the same block. Ample outside parking just beside and across the hotel. Clearly visible from the main road. 

Staff:

The reception staff were pleasant, competent and were very familiar with the area. No complaints.

Conclusion:

Our stay at East Sun was bittersweet, as we expected a better level of cleanliness. There may be other establishments within town that might offer better value for money.  Overall it was an ok stay, although I would probably not consider a repeat stay in the future. I rate this hotel as 2.5 even though Tripadvisor would not allow for a 0.5 rating.

Will not disappoint nor excite

The hotel location very strategy location locate main road , seround with conveniece store , dobby , restaueant etc
location are quiet Hotel are clean , hotel staff are friendly  .value for money . easy access to any place 

VALUE FOR MONEY

The outside look of the building is not that good. But the room was nice and spacy. The front desk guy was also friendly. The room doesnt have window so when we arrived qwas quite humid but once the aircon is on it turns okay. The floor... I dont know why was kinda sticky. My blanket got dirty stain. The bathroom is wide enuough but when shower, the water comes out to the room, because the shower is right in front of the bathroom door, so becareful. We stayed in 2-26 room

Okay

Strategic location, easy to access with various food location. No problem searching for parking. Clean rooms with wifi and ac and a heater. Walls can be quite thin but considering it's not a high end hotel. Don't expect too much of it

Comfortable place 

For a hotel in this category the room is spacious and clean, the bed comfortable and the room environment (including toilet / bathroom) is pleasant.  The location is good as there are convenience shops downstairs and the parking is abundant.  The amenities are just basic and sufficient but can always get more from housekeeping. The staff is just average but can be friendly when you interact with them.  The location is good just off the main town centre, easy to get to anywhere.  It is along the main road so you can hear traffic noise but tolerable. However, the WiFi is weak. Nonetheless, overall good value for money.
