Arrived at the guesthouse for check in quite late at mid nite. Booked for 2 rooms and requested for side-by-side rooms or very near to each other. At 1st they wanted to  allocate at 2 different places which I declined. Finally, only given rooms facing slightly each other. Was informed beforehand that water heater in one of the rooms does not work, so…have to accept since we have no other choice.  Have to enter different entrance from the reception area to get to our rooms as this place is of shoplots building. No lifts & have to walk up the staircase which is also not clean properly. 

Rooms condition are bad & not clean properly. Curtain and it’s railing are about to collapse! Linens & bedsheets have visible stains with a few ink/pen scratches on a few spots. Towels are faded with a few have  holes on them. Phones in the room didn’t work or no connection to reception when tried to complain. As we are tired and lazy to go down to reception, we tried  calling the reception many times using own phone but nobody bothers to pick up. At last, we use the towel and our own shirts as linen to cover the dirty linen. Lock (inside & outside) at toilet Door is broken & main entrance door only use the doorknob lock in one of the rooms. Leakage on the bottom part of the sink. Found left over rubbish in plastic bag from previous tenant(?) maybe behind the bedside table. What a mess we are in! 

Rooms equipped with TV but only a few channels are accessible. No fridge, provide with jug ( but you have to go down to pantry area located next to reception to get hot water) & 2 mugs. No tea/coffee/sugar & mugs have lipstick stain on them. Wifi service is stated as available but you can’t get connection from the rooms area actually…so don’t bother & dont waste time  trying to get the connection. 

Will not stay at any of the Sun Inns chain in future.

Good location near to town.. Easy access for parking.. Staff very helpful and entertain me very well. Hope u guys keep maintaine the service. Hope next visit can get more offer.. overall good,will come again.

Service are good than other hotel nearest. Staff hotel also friendly and good. Very clean and comfort place to stay. The rental is quite cheap.

I stay at this hotel when me and family go for vacation at Kuantan. The rest house is nearby the restaurants. The room is clean and the price is so affordable for family room. Its value for money also

A friend from outside Pahang booked me a room for a few days here for emergency use;  unfortunately this friend of mine is not familiar with Kuantan area and when she asked the guesthouse about the location, they just say yes to everything she thought about this place including that the guesthouse is near to the hospital (it is too far from HTAA but of course la too near to KMC but im not rich and i wasnt going to KMC).  She wasnt aware that this guesthouse is far from the central area of Kuantan town and when I called the guesthouse for the location because i myself is not living in Kuantan/is not from Kuantan, the reception herself failed to give me the right direction to get there.  Twice i missed the entrance to the hidden housing area of this guesthouse and i needed to turn around the town quite far to get back to Indera Mahkota in order to get here.  The truth is Bukit Ubi area is too near to Indera Mahkota rather than the Kuantan town itself.  if you have stuff to do in Indera Mahkota this is the right place to stay but not if you have to attend some intensely emergency stuff in the town of Kuantan.

Horribly, during one of the December rainy dark nights i encountered a group of basikal lajak kids racing down from the flyover on the Bukit Ubi flyover and THAT WAS THE WORST NIGHTMARE TO ANY DRIVER going up the flyover!  certainly the flyover is not safe to drivers because one of these reasons! (oh yes you need to cross this flyover if you came from Kuantan to get to the housing area where the guesthouse situated).  

The room - at first night it was comfortable completed with towels, clean room and bed and sheets and bathroom, aircond and fans, but since it situated on 1st floor and the need to climb some long steps to get up there, i decided not to bring along the senior citizens which i need to take care of.  The room was too cold during rainy days and unfortunately the towels i used wont dry at all even i hanged them all day long.  On the 2nd day my body started developed some skin rashes and it got worst till the last day i stayed there.  After days having to suffer the burning itchiness, I got an injection from a private clinic nearby and the private doctor mentioned about my skin unsuitable to the environment inside the guesthouse.

At night you can hear the stray dogs howling so loud around the housing area and please be careful if you driving at night and unable to find a safe parking inside the guesthouse.  Because disturbing stray dogs in pack can be found around this area and this happened to me during all nights i went to get some sleep here.

Stay Here if you needed to go to ECM or Indera Mahkota during hot dry season and you're not afraid of stray dogs

The rest house is located near to the Kuantan local housing area. Staff was very helpful. it was very clean and very quite. I definitely will stay over there one day. One of the problem is to find a food outlet near to the rest house.

I stay at this hotel every time i travel back from my hometown, Kuala Terengganu. The room is clean, value for money, spacious room and have small facilities, water dispenser, refrigerator and dining table.

The checking was not fast, it took many minutes, had to tell the phone number three times. took almost 15 mins to finish the checkin and hand over the key.

Room was not clean, smelly, lot of dust here and there, shower gel was empty. The ventilation was big wide open and opens to the hall way.

Forgot the tv remote at the reception and we had to go and ask for him to tell that "Ya I have your remote" which we forgot there after the checkin. The response of the staff was bad.

We didnt like the stay there. You will get the service for what you pay. So ok for the money we paid.
