Basic budget accommodations with shared bathroom but comfortable and very clean. It is a short walk (or drive) up a rather steep trail, so it feels very secluded, wild and relaxing. You'll see monkeys rustling around, perhaps those big lizards, wake up to the rooster and prayer calls in the distanc. The air is fresher and a bit cooler up there between the trees than down at sea level. Nice rather short walk to supermarket and restaurants, through a quiet residential area, past a playground if you're travelling with kids. Small kitchen and sitting area to prepare a simple meal, enjoy the basic breakfast or sit around and rest or socialize. Butterfly is right up our alley and we loved staying there.

Beautiful, wild, basic, calming

Simple accomodation within a wonderful jungle location very close to amenities. The hosts could not do more to make you feel welcome. Sitting quietly either day or night on this lovely property we saw a wide variety of animals, birds and insects. Only problem - maybe just temporary? - was that there was often so much noise either from angle grinders, power tools or screeching small children that those moments of stillness were much less than we'd have liked. Let's hope this was an unusual week and that the children are not running around shouting at 11pm normally and that it all gets back to peacefulness soon.

Very good, simple jungle experience.

one of the best places of the island -  very unique location in jungle and easy to reach village, food courts and shops, beach & natural and peaceful atmosphere & lovely host family with big hearts and care for their quests and as well environment

authentic experience

Is just perfect. Up the hill, the place looks like hidden in the middle of the jungle, quiet and unique. You will wake up with the birds singing. The place is beautiful, with a huge jungle-garden full of trees and flowers. The rooms are confortable, clean and nice. The breakfast is exactly what you need to get going: bread, butter, jam, hard eggs, and exotic fruit. You can eat lunch or dinner there, prepared with lots of love from the family, who are willing to help and to share laughs at any time.

The best place in Langkawi

A wonderfull time with a wonderfull family. If you are curiouse about the culture of malaysia, want's to meet nice peoples and be outside of the crouded touristy sites. then this is the best place!
We stayd 4 night and I was sad to leave. If I was to come back to langkawi I would get a uber strait to this gest house and rente on of their moto bike to move around.

Moste wonderfull place on Langkawi

My mate and I camped here on and off over a month. Each time we only planned on staying a couple of days but we always stayed much longer, very comfortable. We were free to choose where we camped and set up under the shade of the trees, the ground raked clear of the leaves. Close enough to be convinient, far away enough for privacy. There were some heavy rain days and the water drained away easily.
Great common area to socialize, and a supermarket with cheap social lubricants close by. Surrounded by wildlife: monkeys (which never came close to the tents, human weary), birds, butterflies, a big squirrel, and the odd green snake (see photo).
The facilities were always clean. There's also a great big roomy outdoor shower for a special jungle immersion. Breakfast in the morning was moddest, don't miss out on the hard boiled eggs.
We would camp here again. We did camp here again and again.
