My girlfriends and I stayed here only for one night sadly but were very impressed - hot water, ac, pool and friendly staff who go above and beyond. This is not a party hostel but very chill vibes, everyone gathers around their little bar before going out and they offered out free shots ! Special shout out to Saki and the gentleman (can’t remember his name 😢) who helped us with this starved kitten that happened to pop up at the hostel and desperately needed help. They fed her and gave her water and Saki ended up adopting the little baby! Very sweet people. Highly recommend this hostel :)

Lovely little hostel!!

I have been several times in Canggu, and Tipsy Gypsy is the best value for money I found here. Location, atmosphere, clean, staff, pool, fellow travelers ! And you feel at home !
Definitely coming back soon !

Best hostel for backpackers

thanks a lot for a nice hangout! goood food and good drinks. have a tiger beer for me when you're there and enjoy the music sessions, the scubaclub, the worst pool table i've ever played on. and everything else that makes it enjoyable!

cosy place

very nice place I can only recommend it. The staff is very friendly and the location is very good it is not far away from the airport. The place was clean and offers everything that you need. I can totally recommend.

Very good place

I stayed here for 2 nights recently and didn't get a wink of sleep! The first night there was a girl on her phone shouting, sat at the tables outside my window on the front of the building. She ignored my pleas to keep quieter and didn't stop until my girlfriend shouted at her in Spanish to be quiet or move on. 
Second night a group of Spanish guys were drinking, again at the tables outside my window. I went out and asked them to be quieter as my girlfriend was sick and we'd had no sleep the night before. It lasted about 2 minutes! I ended up calling typsy gypsy from my bed and asking the management to control the noise. They eventually were told to move and they only moved the tables along the building a little, and so could still be heard.
I would recommend this place if you would like no sleep!
Take note typsy gypsy, keep the noise in the bar there's plenty of room in there for all of the guests.

Far too noisy!

Tacky bar aimed at ex pats, but does do cheap(ish) cocktails...

We were staying nearby and popped in for a cheap lunch which wasn't bad at all. Chinese themed.

Mistakenly went back with the same hopes for quick dinner next day. Had to ask several times for them to complete our drinks order, and they completely messed up our food order, bringing things we hadn't ordered leaving us with half a meal.

To top it all, a jam band group of retired ex pats were thrashing out acoustic covers of 60s classics that was just awful. Stay for a drink if you like but head to the beach for dinner.
