The joint we never give a miss whenever we are in Langkawi..for late lunch at 15hr00...had rice n lamb curry..n their chicken tandoori..
The restaurant also have chicken tikka n naan n roti chanai plus noodles served to order..
Other dishes fried chicken fish curry etc n chendol.
No regrets.
Now also they have bed n breakfast rooms attached.
But please dear Management do clean ur restrooms regularly..thanks.

Visited recently for 2-3 times
Has lot of veg options, But very average taste. Though i guess its more famous for non veg and very low cost. 

Good part, you can get dosa here which is else difficult in cenang area. 

Just okay

The rooms were very clean and located right above a mamak restaurant. The location is perfect as you can simply walk around Cenang beach. There are various restaurants located around the hotel . The only downside is there is no lift but you the rooms are all only one floor above ground. So it's quite a good bargain.

Super Value Worth Stay

Was here just a week and we ate here twice!! Perfect place for travelers who want to get a cheap eat. Beautiful indian food and they served other things aswell. We had the tandoori chicken, butter chicken, chilli chicken....all amazing!! With a couple of garlic naans and rice all for 50rm!!! So cheap! Dosnt sell alcohol tho.

Arrived from George Town on the high speed ferry that took us to Eagle square and without any WIFi or data we jumped into a taxi that was all fixed rates and paid 30MR and this dropped us outside Tomato Hotel - Grab does give a better rate so if you have data use Grab.

Check in was very smooth and fast and a deposit was taken by the lady on reception of 50MR that would be returned at check out and we were provided keys to our room upstairs.

The room was of a good size and standard for the price paid and this included A/C, hot water and toiletries along with two bottles of water each day and coffee.

During our stay we did have a number of issues with the electrics mostly affecting the A/C unit but we were provided new rooms for the evening and the A/C was promptly fixed the following morning.

Overall we had a pleasant stay and the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the beach so it's basically just round the corner from the main beach road and we didn't have any issues with the location as it's factored into the price paid for the budget room.

I would say the WIFI is terrible and at times no connection is available and as a paying guest at the hotel I feel strongly this connection shouldn't be shared with the busy 24 hour restaurant downstairs as the connection is congested with other users trying to connect.

My other point would be the bedding needs upgrading as they offer double beds however only have single bedding that is of course far too small for the bed so end up feeling cold during the night and despite the pillows and mattress being so good your comfort is compromised.  

At check out we got a grab to the airport from the hotel and this cost us 13MR.

Good Budget Room

 
This restaurant in Pantai Cenang attracted our attention because of the roadside location. We found buffet of Malaysian food on the left and a Tandoor corner on the right. We had tandoori roti, dal fry, alu methi, chicken tikka and plain dosa. We liked fresh hot food except for the dosa which was not very hot as we get in India. We observed that the joint is popular with both tourists and locals. This is because you get nice food at a reasonable price. Also, they operate on 24X7 basis.
