House made of wood... lot's of character, BUT, it was bad for sleeping, mosquito that eat us alive, not possible to sleep, you are not sleeping inside basically you sleep outside as is all open to elements, wind, noise, insects ect
To top it off, first unit was very dirty with dusty furniture, spiders web and mouse sh*t everywhere and we had no linen to sleep with but had to wait till almost 23:00 to get them... Very unpleasant night and experience since my 4 year old daughter was deformed in her face by mosquito bites... not again

What a mistake to stay here

We decided to give the place a try as we have never experienced living in a traditional village.It is less than 10 minutes drive from the airport and Cenang Beach.

We were greeted by Mdm Azlina (and also her cat name Mama), the owner of the place and gave us a tour around her properties.To our surprise, each house has a bathtub which overlooks the magnificient paddy field. Each chalet is decorated with classic theme and gives that feeling of coziness.
The perks of coming during low season is we have the entire place to ourselves. Mdm Azlina's hospitality is truly remarkable and treated us like family. 

Highly recommended for those who wants to experience living in traditional village and appreciates motherly hospitality.

Rustic Village getaway in the Paddy Field

We have spent one week in tanabedang Banglos. It is a quiet place and close to pantai cenang, the main boulevard on Langkawi. With a rental scooter, you can reach Cenang in 5 minutes. Shariffah & Yati introduce us to the best eating places of Langkawi. They are open and friendly and made this to be our favourite place. The breakfast is really delicious(!) if you like to try new local indian/malay style food! We can definitly recommand this place!

Beautiful relaxing accomodation in the best part of Langkawi

I have spent 3 nights in Langkawi at what I considered to be one of the best places to stay on the entire Island. Tanabendang Banglos is an absolutely beautiful and rustic getaway offering 6 cabins in close proximity to the beach front, spas, and downtown shopping. It is right at the edge of everything tucked in the country side. I was fortunate that someone else had cancelled otherwise I would never have had the opportunity to stay here. The manager and owner of the property is a beautiful and kind hearted women who welcomed me like family. Sharing with her my love of real estate, architecture, and interior design she offered to give me a tour of the main house on the premises where she resides. Her home is gorgeous! Every morning she offers a breakfast of local cuisine. Had I not been lazy and slept through the morning I would have had the breakfast experience more than once. I am very glad I woke up in time on my last day for breakfast, I was absolutely delicious! If you are looking for more than your typical hotel room and don't mind the country cabin look, this is the perfect place to stay. I love it that much I offered to buy a cabin. Unfortunately she turned me down. Though she did say I could rent it out for an entire year lol. I will most definitely return to this little slice of Paradise the next time I am in Langkawi.

Absolutely Beautiful & Rustic Getaway

Need to unwind?  This is good place to stay. It situated surrounding with the locals residents separated padi field make it very refreshing and quiet especially in the morning. The location is not far ffom airport and Cenang beach. The host is very helpful and responsive although she don't live in the premises. There is no reception area when check in the premises only 1 helper directed the room we stay. All in all there is no one operated the place all by trust. The room is clean the bathroom is huge. Although, there are mosquitoes but the host provided the mosquito coils and night some insects noise for us not big deal that is kampong if u want to experience it. Experience life differently and life will be different...

Purely kampung and value for money those who are looking for new approach with vintage touch.Highly recommend for natural n old school lover. We even extended our stay to 7night here.My kid enjoying the swimming pool everyday. We even cooked our dinner there.Nearear to seafood jetty n airport.

Tanabendang banglo

Our 2 night stay at Tanabendang was absolutely wonderful. Tanabendang is the most authentic kampung (malay-styled cottage) boutique villa we've tried so far. (We are city folks from Malaysia). The interior and exterior of the villas were carefully designed and recreated to keep the originality (sight, smell, sound and all). The modern facility like the AC, hot shower and common pool kept out stay warm at heart. Owner is very friendly and warm and definitely a 5 thumbs up host. When we come back to Langkawi, Tanabendang will be our top choice (price, location, design, overall comfort) in our opinion. 
 

Most Authentic Malay Kampung Boutique Hotel

A very quiet place amidst lush rice paddy fields that offers pure joy of living with nature. The simplicity of this place is its forte as its really basic & intends to provide peace & solitude that city dwellers seek. The guy who manages it, Mr.Wan, is very polite & welcoming. He offered to halt for a lunch takeaway before taking us to the Banglos. The amenities are basic but sufficient - Aircon, Water heater, Tea/Coffee station, Storage & Toiletries like soap & shampoo... He helped us rent a car. The property is clean with beautiful furniture in cottages & the lounge. The lounge is actually a nice place to chill around. The pool was also clean & the kitchen area around it is a good place to hang around as you cook, eat, dip. Overall a nice little cozy place to just be still & do nothing much but enjoy lots of natural surroundings & village life.
