If you like monkeys and nature this is definitely a good place to stay. I was nervous to stay here because I'd seen photos of the monkey's, but I did actually enjoy the four nights we stayed. The bed covers are not so good, but other than that we had a good stay. I would recommend having the air con though as the rooms get very hot.
Staff are friendly and it was a good easy stay, if you're looking for something a bit different.

T-Star Cottages (Super Room S20):

Overall, I had a great stay at T-Star Cottage and would stay here again, especially in the off-season when most other cottages are not occupied.

PROS:
1. Very peaceful and mostly quiet setting -- no kids allow, no television, and signs everywhere telling people to please be quiet;
2. Located just off the main road and easily walkable to all areas of Pantai Tengah, and only a 25-30-minute walk to Pantai Chenang;
3. Book tours and rent motorbikes/vehicles on-site, if needed;
4. Mini-mart next door, and only a 5-minute walk to the 24hr mini-mart;
5. Self-service laundry on-site, and full-service laundry just a 5-minute walk away;
6. Walk to the beach in under 5 minutes;
7. Several universal/travel power points and USB ports in the room;
8. Plenty of different lighting options to set the ideal mood;
9. Nice covered balcony/patio to sit outside and enjoy the nature;
10. Green, natural setting with pond, garden, and wildlife;
11. Good reliable Wi-Fi;
12. Friendly, helpful staff;
13. Credit cards accepted, including AMEX;
14. Bed has a shelf area to easily place items within reach;
15. Room fan and aircon all working and fully operational without any issues;
16. Free filtered water refill station at reception/office;
17. Water spicket near front office to wash sand from feet when coming from the beach;
18. Lots of nature around you, including plentiful monkeys of different species, ponds with frogs, flowers, and other wildlife, including an on-site aquarium.

CONS: 
1. The cottages are located very close to each other, which severely limits privacy -- you basically see all your neighbors;
2. The hot water heater at the shower does not have a hook on the wall to hold the handle/spicket, so you can only use one hand when showering with warm water;
3. Aluminum reflector panels on the balcony ceiling are coming off; also, the balcony roof slowly leaks water onto the patio and outdoor furniture during heavy rainfall;
4. No blackout shades – the existing thinly veiled curtains allow natural light to easily illuminate the room;
5. While the bed itself is comfortable, the linens can be much improved by replacing microfiber pillowcases, blankets, and sheets with a soft cotton material like most other hotels use;
6. No secured/bolted safe deposit box to store valuables;
7. Interior secondary security entry door latch does not work;
8. No toilet paper holder on bathroom wall near toilet;
9. No hot water at bathroom sink;
10. The room is cozy but very small, so there is no room for a desk/chair/workstation, comfortable chair to sit, or end tables or coffee table to place items.

Best choice for a budget stay in a quiet, natural environment!

Do not expect much other than greenery living, no other activities can be done in room as the rooms are meant strictly for a relaxed sleep. if you are top floor room, be careful while walking as the wood creeks can be heard every time as the place is pin drop silence

Live in nature

Best place to chill alone. Comfortable to sleep without any problem. Beautiful receptionist and she was friendly also. Will visit again next year. I would suggest this place for traveller who live nature, you guys will definitely love this place. 

The best....

It is an average place to stay at night specially if you have low budget just to spend one night then its ok. They actually tried to make the environment like forest and they will give you a tent to spend your night. And you need to use sharing toilet and the toilet size is too small and no flash in the toilet. You need to pour a bucket of water after finishing your poo. My room cost was RM 24 for 1 night and RM 50 need to pay for deposit. And the tent was not cleaned properly. If you do not like insects then this place is not for you. Sometimes you will find big ants in your bed roam around. No AC offcourse only have a stand fan and 3 small lamp.

Stayed there for a week! Great service and really realaxing cottages in nature. The upper floor rooms are worth it! Nice walk to cenang beach, about 15 minutes. Also a great bbq and grill restaurant called Arang is nearby. My favourite hotel in Malaysia so far.

Really nice place!

Stayed here in end May 2019 for 3 nights while on holiday in Langkawi. The location is good as it is a short distance from several eateries (seafood restaurants in particular), and there is quite a major car/motor scooter rental shop that is part of the same hotel. It is very prominent, on the main road, before a corridor leading to the cottage - called T Shoppe (it is also a convenience store btw).

Our air conditioned room came with towels in a bag that was handed to us when we checked in (together with the aircon remote control). A deposit has to be paid which is returned at checkout, with this same bag. Note that there is no hot shower, which was not a problem for us as the weather was pretty hot those few days. It is well advised to choose an airconditioned room as it can be rather hot just using the standing fan provided.

In short, its really a no frills place to stay for the budget conscious!!

Not too bad for the price!

Rooms are very small and air conditioning doesn't work. The drains didn't smell good at all and we had to close the bathroom door so the smell wouldn't come into the room area. You have to pay extra for everything, even of you want a clean towel or fan. They are very money hungry and if you are a tourist they charge you extra. Give this place a miss. 2 stars because there were monkeys around that was cute

Give this place a miss

The room is hot during day time (we choose upper level with aircond). But the room was nice and quite and peacefull. You cannot walk to Chenang from this hotel but you can rent a bike from this place and at a very afforable price

A decent & peaceful place to stay

We got the lower fan room, and was good enough. Not hot at all and nice and quiet. 
The room is small, but has a balcony cover with curtains, so a good place to chill. 
The staff is also very nice.
For the price you pay is a very good option.
