They only provide wifi at the reception area but not anywhere else. They provide no chairs, tables, breakfast, The staffs were unfriendly, could not even explain the most basic thing. All they do was smile and stare at you. There is a place to iron your clothes at the ground floor but the place is messy and dirty. Nobody to explain anything should you require any help. The security is not very good. I think guesthouses have even beter security. The door outside is opened all the time. I wondered what is the use of the code anyway.

Cramp and expensive.

We were approached at Melaka bus station by a guy (named Max) trying to get business for Ajit Guesthouse. We did not have anywhere booked so we thought we would go along with it and see what was what (it was also getting late in the day and we did not want to waste much time sorting out our accommodation).
Anyway, he took us and a group of other people to an area where there are several hostels and guesthouses owned by the same group. 
We said that we wanted a quiet place, so he showed us rooms in both M International Inn and LB Hotel (next door to each other) as Ajit was next to a main road (we did not see Ajit). We took a room at LB. It was very cheap, basic, but had air con and seemed okay for a night (plus it was hot and we did not want to be trekking about with our luggage).
It turned out that the bed was broken in one corner, the room had a damp fusty smell and my towel did not smell nice. The two (non English speaking) reception staff were disinterested and surly.
The following morning there was a different guy on reception who was much friendlier and helpful. Nevertheless, we left after the one night. It was not our kind of place. We did, however, sleep well as it was quiet.
It is probably fine for backpackers on a budget.
I am giving it an average for the type of accommodation it is. 
Friendly staff on reception all the time would be an improvement. 
Breakfast is not included.
