I stayed in a private double room which was spacious and beautifully furnished. All the facilities were spotless and the whole place had a great atmosphere. I had a really good time with the other guests and did a cooking class with them next door. It all felt so homely and Sam, the host was always available if you needed anything. The rickshaws with their annoying music do go past until midnight but after that it was quiet and there are many reasonable and delicious food options around.
I would stay there again for sure.

Best hostel ever

this was a great stay! sam was so helpful and kind, when i couldn’t find a grab from the bus station he called one for me and made sure i got in safely. amazing location right in the center of melaka close to all the historic sites and night market. room and bathrooms were clean and great! highly recommend staying here

great stay and helpful staff! highly recommend

Great stay here! It’s small which makes it so personal, the owner knows your name. Room and mostly bed was very comfortable (big double room). Bathroom area clean. Common area stylish. I would stay again! Oh and perfect location, close to all touristy attractions and mostly to the weekend market.

Personal feel

This hostel was one of the nicest (possibly the nicest) I’ve ever stayed in and Sam, who owns the property was the best host ever. Every bed has its own light/ power socket and curtain and bottled water, a daily fresh towel and shampoo are also complimentary. 

The location is perfect - definitely recommend if visiting Melaka. Thanks for a great stay, Sam!

Had the best stay here

Had a quite nice experience staying in the hostel.
They provide clean towel, hair and body shampoo and drinking water.
there is also power socket which supports multiple nation plug....(which no need for multi plug converter)
have both hot and cold shower
The enviroment is very quiet and clean.
The main attraction (jonker street, st paul church, river side, red house) could reach in walking distance.
On the next morning they also provide breakfast beveraage.
ONLY thing they dont provide is a lock for the locker and they only can fit 5 peple at total.

Very comfy mini hostel located in a quiet lane a few minutes from Jonker Street. Sleeps only 6 people in 3 bunk beds. Each bunk has it's own reading light & power sockets. Towels and soap are provided. Very clean bathroom (million points for that). Free coffee in the morning from the attached cafe. The ham and cheese croissants we ate at the cafe for breakfast were delicious. 

Make sure you book early !!

I have nothing to complain about Ola Lavanderia. Thanks to Sam for being such warm owner. No matter what time it is, Sam is always there as appointed. I arrived late (almost 6 p.m) due to waiting for bus no. 17 from Melaka Sentral.
Easy to find the location, it is quite near from Dutch Square or Jonker Street. There are five (5) bunk bed only in one room, curtains are provided for privacy. Air-conditioned, with fan as well, and automatic door lock with keycard pass.
Two bathrooms (one of them with hot shower), washing bin and it's very clean bathroom, really.
I haven't tried their breakfast specialties since the cafe always open so late (around 10 a.m.), so my only option is nearby Pin Pin Hiong, selling Fried Mee as tasteful ones. The cafe closes at 5 p.m. and I didn't get any chance to try their foods, but luckily, when I met Sam night before my departure and he introduced new guest, I asked whether I can try their signature "White Cheese Cake Melaka", and Sam said yes, I am all happy to try it. It tasted different than other menu from other cafes, and so yummy. Sam even gave me free compliment of one can of Coca Cola.
You'll get free towel, 2 bottles of mineral water each person, and shower gel/shampoo. 
I will definitely stay at Ola Lavanderia again when I travel with friends or even families by booking all bunk beds if possible for own privacy.

What a wonderful stay! Quiet, Comfort, and Good Location.

My girlfriend and I decided to stay at this B&B due to its proximity to jonker street and excellent review. Location is great, next to jonker street and without the noise and crowd. The B&B is very clean and at the back of the cafe, and the whole space has only 5 beds. It’s good for people who prefer privacy. Especially when you are tired after long walk in jonker walk, you can order take away from street hawkers bring it back to eat at the cafe at night when it’s closed without disturbance from the crowd. The owner Sam called me and my girlfriend by name when we checked it, what a surprise! We enjoyed the place a lot and it feels like home. Would recommend backpackers or anyone who wants to try this B&B.
