I arrived walking to ask and see the rooms, when i rang the bell in the first floor if not is a mobile to call (Dont expect a reception) a women in the opposite door just semi opened the door( i just can saw half of her face) and said: do you have reservation?? No, how much is your cheapest room? - 70Rm, - Can i see the room? 
- No, you pay and then u can see the room ( in an agresive way)... hahaha with this answer i can imagine how beauty are the room .. already the corridor to the 1st floor will say Everything. Go almost infront "Venece hotel" (venezia pictures outside) 60rm D/room standard with toilet AC and TV, water dispenser hot and extra cold water 24/7 in each flow. Good luck waterfront keep doing like that, the hotels around will be so happy getting your clients

Am satisfied with the overall standard of the hotel. Room is decent, comfortable and practical for business stay. Location is strategic right in the middle of Miri with convenient access to food and transport . Staff is friendly and readily offer assistance when required, though don't expected top-rated service as is common with those 5-star types. Considering the decent rate, strongly recommend this hotel for those who come for short stay. I think if you plan for longer stay ie more than a week , the management is flexible enough to give special for long term stay.

Business Review

This is a plain, very small room in a quiet atmosphere to sleep.  Expect nothing else.  The desk clerk will be a few feet down the hall.  I had nice sleep here while visiting a friend in Miri.  No safety concerns.  Clean and adequate with your own bathroom.  Near the waterfront and enjoyed talking to fishermen about their catch.  You can walk a few block circuit to get food.  The book "With Pythons & Head-Hunters In Borneo" is a must.

A Place to Sleep Not Vacation

After staying here, I wonder why was that my stay was so different from other reviewers. There're no hot chick nurse that work as housekeeper or reception, but just uncertified nurse (I did ask about the qualifications) who acted as receptionist, housekeeper, and cashier and key collectors.  No sightings of owners and no help at all. All I left was a door bell and mobile phone number to call for assistance. I had hives upon waking up and am not sure was it from the blanket or small ants around the bed, drug shringes and wrapper, condoms all wrapped under bed. In the morning, I was greeted with a cockcroach above the headboard. Wfi signal is available but not functionable. air condition needs servicing as it is not cold.

Upon my arrival, I was made to stand at the door outside, awaiting for the hot chick nurse to open the door for me. She opened the door from the clinic, asking what I needed. Apparently, my booking was not on the list. I patiently waited for 5 minute for another nurse to open the door for me to enter to the receptionist area. Took sometime to clarify my booking.

I did call the houseowner and she offered to have a room changed but I was too tired to change it late at night.  She didn't show up at 8am as promised.

Second floor was shared floor with the locals staying and it was unsightly.

Overall, am not even sure if this homestay is registered with the tourism body or local council. I would say it is more appropriate to call this Miri waterfront hostlity stay instead. Surely not a good way to welcome guest this way.

homestay or hospital stay?

At first I was hesitant went I read the reviews here about the pub and karaoke noise but decided to try it anywhere because it has an unbeatable price.
I was so glad I chose this place !
The pubs previously here as been turn to silver spoon dinner/ bed and breakfast , lunch and dinner!
The hotel inn was excellent it should be charged at least three times higher! But I'm not complaining ;p
For the price they charge It seems the owner did this for fun rather than to make profit ....just to show he can... 
Anyway live this place and I have become a loyal regular here 
Love the wifi , love the hot chick nurses , love the ease to get to everywhere
