Room clean, nice shower with reasonable size room. No carpet in room, only tile. But it's ok. Has TV, aircond, fairly good bed. But room not sound proof. So you can hear foot steps, people talking and plug in at 2am in the morning. Price ok. Short 1 night stay fine. Hotel amongst shop lots building. Parking at basement quiet narrow. 

Fairly good

Very central and next to the food street. Lobby is on the 1st floor.

Rooms clean and comfortable. The room I got faces the river,  had to pay more to get a river facing room.

Entry and download to carpark is very tight and difficult to move.  First slope at entrance is steep, can scratch bottom of the car.

No lift from basement,  have to carry bags to G lvl.

The only problem I faced is parking. Their parking facilities are limited and it is only for small sedan car. This put me in trouble to find parking for my car. Rest all are ok.  Location is good. But the lobby is in second floor and there is no option for disable people. There are few steps every guests have to take to reach to lift.

Good Budget Hotel

The hotel is strategically located, facing the Muar River. The famous New Eastern Restaurant (Hainanese chicken chop) is just around the corner. Basement carpark is available (only 1 lane for enter and exit).  A RM50 room deposit is required during check-in.  One must bring along the TV and air-conditioner remote controllers together with the deposit receipt during check-out to get his/her deposit fully refundable. 

The reception counter is located on the first floor of the building. There is a small lift for the guests to go up their rooms. This lift is situated on the ground floor of the building. The guests are required to use their room card to gain access to their room. This is an added security feature. Or else anyone can go up to higher floors in view of the location of the lift. 

We booked a room for three adults (Triple Room). However, the slippers, bottled water and toothbrush & toothpaste are only provided for 2 persons. The air-conditioned room is spacious. The bathroom is clean and big too.  Our room is located on 4th floor. There is a total of 5 floors in the building. Iron and ironing board, and the hot/cold water dispenser are available on our floor. 

Overall, we had a good night stay in this hotel. We love its location and affordable price.

Great value for the location

This establishment understands its role as a basic and no-frills hotel perfectly and delivers well in all areas. It had a cosy and comfortable lobby with extremely helpful and accommodating front desk staff. 

Stayed in a standard deluxe room and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious and well maintained the room was. They offered all the basic amenities and most importantly, the room and toilet was clean and felt fresh. It wasn't perfect (they don't provide hangars, and the entire toilet gets wet with every shower) but overall comfortable. 

The hotel is strategically located at the city center and somewhat overlooks the river which offers some good views. Overall a good experience and really great value for money.

Great value for money

Stayed with family on 14 Sept 

Booked with Expedia for a family room (2 queen beds). Surprised to get 1 king bedQ with 1 super single. 

I dont feel save staying there. The emergency door was opened all the time. 

Room amenities ... very basic. I got towel with a big hole! 

Overall i dont enjoy my stay and shall not consider coming back staying here in future.

Will not consider ...

The price affordable. The room quite comfortable. Good location and easy to find restaurant in front the hotel. Just walking no need to drive. Very nearby the Muar River. Highly recommended for the tourist.

Quite Comfortable 

Who knew, Muar is actually a historic place. There is a lot of historical things/sites to be discover if you know the locals. 

The hotel itself located strategically in the heart of Pekan Muar. Walking distance to old shop lots, and night bazar. Truely a wonderful sight.

Local cuisine, Coffee 434, not to be missed, along with satay and mee bandung. 

Pekan Muar is the cleanest town i ever visited. If you had a chance, do go for a boat ride along the Muar river. It only cost RM12.00



One of the best place to stay in Muar

We took a Standard Deluxe room costing RM88 per night. That's quite cheap but you get what you pay for - a very basic room with no frills.

1.  Room is tiled and not carpeted. Reasonably clean although floor felt a bit dusty.  
2.  Toilet bowl is very old and has some set-in stains at the edge of the seat cover.
3.  Sink in toilet is very small and you have to bend very low to use it. As a result, you tend to knock your head on the amenity shelf above it as the shelf juts too far out. 
4.  There's no shower stall or curtain to block off the spraying water when you shower, so the whole toilet including the toilet paper which is just next to the shower area gets completely wet.
5.  There's no fridge and kettle in the room.  However, hot/cold water is available at the corridor near the lift.
5.  Room is quite small and there's no wardrobe.
6.  Mattress is okay, at least it doesn't sink in the centre..  Pillows are very flat and soft.
7.  We requested for a non-smoking room but got a smoking room instead.  But we didn't bother to ask for a change of room as the reception lady didn't look too friendly. No smile or greeting from her when we arrived to do check-in.
8.  Forget about watching TV - it was not clear at all.
9.  Rooms with river view cost RM40 more which is almost half the cost of the room and there's no point paying that for a river view that has nothing to look at.
 
Overall, this is not for fussy stayers and if you're not staying long and just need a bed to sleep on, this is good enough.

Basic hotel, don't expect much.

I spent a night here in this hotel. First thing is that the lift is not working and I have to walk up the stairs to the reception to the first floor. Luckily the room given was in the first floor too.
Room was spacious , clean and the wifi signal was strong. The TV reception was bad and you can barely watch the fuzzy images on screen.

it quite conveniently located near the town city, maybe a 10mins walk away from the bus terminal. Overall  good for a short stay in Muar
