The best thing about the place was the staff and location. If it wasn’t for that I would give it two stars.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is right next door to the Palm Mall shopping centre and taxi rank.

The hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment and the hotel needs a deep clean.

Also, management, please throw away the old towels. Once they get to a certain level of wear, you need to replace them.

You get what you pay for 

We stayed here a couple of nights, it is a good location just across from a large shopping mall. There is a wide variety of places to eat and drink. The staff were friendly, however the most important thing for a hotel room is being able to sleep. It is alongside a busy road and the internal noise was some of the worst we had encountered.😕😖

Good location

I had to be near this location for my early morning business meeting so I picked this hotel.

The hotel owner certainly content to let the hotel as it is and deteriorate.  The one star hotel is operating on the basis on not having to improve and maintain the quality.

I was surprised that on opening the closet for the cloth hanger there are dark cobweb on two corners (sign of collecting dust and been there for months).  This also evident that the spider must have mosquito to feed on for a couple of days in order to build up extensive cobweb.

It is the first time I come across that when you check in you were handed (over the checkin counter) two piece of rag as towels to bring up to your room. 
 
There is no amenity (facial tissue, soap bar, tiny shampoo bottle..) in the room.  The TV is of the old tube type and reception is over the air (no TV cable) and so no remote control.

There was a mosquito in the room and I requested spray can.  I fumigate the room before I went for my dinner and solved my problem.

Interesting right out of the window view of the street.  A car was parked illegally right in the path of main traffic for hours and no one complain.  All traffic just yield to this white parked car (Amazing !). 

There is an ironing board with an electrical iron just 2 meter away from the hotel front door entrance.  Later I learned that this is the common shared equipment for hotel guest.  LOL…. How many hotel guest would iron their cloth in the public?

For a cost of Ringgit 90 a night (without giving a receipt for tax purposes), this is way overcharge for the quality of the hotel. This hotel is NOT recommended.

The only good point is the location of the hotel that is right at the corner of the main intersection and facing the PalmMall building.

Truly a ONE star hotel

Rooms were clean and well kept. Loved their layout and wallpaper. Had a walk in small cupboard!!! That was a surprise. Mr. Lim at the counter was very professional. It's a small shop house hotel but value for money. They painted their doors recently with gloss paint and the smell still permeated the air. Had free WiFi though. Did tv channels but the tv reception was not stable. Had a common ironing place. And had drinking water in the rooms. Wake up call was on time. Dog barking on morning was actually Justin to my ears. Hot water was good but the shower head was too close to the water heater unit. A little water retention in the room walls emitted a dank smell. Otherwise perfect for our requirement.

Clean and good location

The price is considered okay with the room. Not too pricey and really affordable for a brief stay in the town. Room is spacious and clean enough. However there's dogs around the entrance in the morning and the lift is too slow.
