Most of the staff are very kind. The men who cleaned our room and provided breakfast worked very hard and were very kind. 

The host made things awkward for us when he was disgruntled with us when we booked a kayak on our own for cheaper and not through the hotel. We didn't feel comfortable with this type of unprofessional behavior. We didn't experience this anywhere else in the Maldvies. All of the other staff were very professional and kind though. Also, the construction on the property next door went through the night until 2:00am on more than one night. Unfortunately, this noise is not the property's fault as the host did try to stop the noise but the workers continued both nights after he talked to them. The beds are also uncomfortable and there are no complimentary toiletries in the bathroom like all other properties. The wifi is also much slower than the other properties where we stayed. There is also a foosball table next to the first room that causes a lot of noise when people play it at night making the place feel more like a hostel than a homestay. We visited four different islands and five different properties on this trip to the Maldives. We paid the most for this property and thought it was nowhere as good as the other properties we visited. We had very good experiences at all of the other properties. There are many, many nice guesthouses being built on Rashdoo. Many of them are new and look very clean and modern. They just don't have reputations built up with reviews yet so they are unfortunately not as busy. If we were to go back to Rashdoo, we would stay at one of the many newer properties. 

Disappointing 


In the Rasdho atol residance we were at the end of October 2019. We occupy two of the three major rooms-together is 5. We were alone with two boys of staff all week. The boss didn't come. They offered us a lot of pretty expensive activities. The rooms are spacious, clean, well maintained, with a working air conditioning. Rooms have a window on the inside of the hallway. The first evening we had dinner with a variety of homemade dishes-very good, a little too much. We ate once again, grilled fish named handi (similar meat like tuna fish) with the side dishes (salat, potatoe with wegetable, noodles) and it was great again. They have best noodles on Rasdhoo!!! Water, tea and coffee are at the disposal/request of all the time for free. Also, you can take equipment for snorkeling. 

Good price / performance

We were a group of 10 and we took all the 5 rooms, so it's like a private residence of our own!  Rooms are very clean and cozy.  Would be even better if they work on water pressure, a bit weak for me to shampoo.  Staff are excellent!  They are all very courteous and helpful.  Special thanks to Hason.  He all the way took care of my friend who couldn't swim but really wanted to do snorkelling.  We definitely felt they were dedicated to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Food is nice relative to the price.  Every meal they offered us water, juice and fruits!  We had good catch of fish every time they brought us fishing.  They helped us cook the fish and they also let our very good cooking friend to help in the kitchen so we always had yummy fusion (Chinese and Maldivian) fish meals during our stay! 

Location is good, very near to the shore that make us easy to board for excursions and a convenient store is just opposite.

I would recommend this residence to anyone especially a group of friends, will sure have a happy and relaxing holiday!

Wonderful Stay

I stayed with my friends in a group of four on 30/Dec/2017 to 1/jan/2018. Hotels rooms are big, nicely decorated in wooden finish. Toilets was cleaned. 
Hotel manager Mr. Hasan was very nice, cooperative and friendly. He offered discount to us in water sports. 
We did snorkelling with him, we don't know how to swim. Still we did with his great support.
On 31st Dec he offered us complimentary new year eve dinner of our choice. He prepared Indian curry specially for us.
Dinner was awesome, the best we had in Maldives. 
For the sandbank tour he dedicated one of his staff always with us all the day for take care of our belongings.
Breakfast was also good.
It was great time at this lodge in rashdhoo island.
Thanks to Mr. Hasan and hotel staff for support and made great our Maldives trip.
