This resort consists of about 50 different apartments, encircling a lovely pool area in a quiet small village of Gozo. Our two-bedroomed apt was indeed very large, comfortable and absolutely safe and clean. Would highly recommend it for families with children!

Best place for a relaxed family holiday

This time we choose this week as we were busy in the Month of August, We stayed in the Apartments at the Ta Frenc and we had a first floor apt. with a lovely view of the pool and surroundings  area the  Apt is very spacious and nicely decorated fresh painted, the furniture is lovely  and spacious, as you will see in the photos below, it has 2 Bedrooms and a shower room and a Bathroom,,with a lovely Balcony facing the pool, both bedrooms with AC PLUS  LARGE CEILING FANS.

Again back to Gozo for 8 days

Whilst the rooms and pool were clean and very spacious, these apartments are highly inaccessible to people like us with buggies and small children. No lifts at all, and even to go to the pool you have to go outside in the street and round the block only to find another flight of stairs. The bins around the pool area were full on Saturday night and by this morning (Tuesday) they were still unemptied. Parking is disastrous, although on their website it states that parking is available... ermmm where??? Also on their website it also states that microwaves are available in all rooms.. when i called to confirm, as we have small babies and need to sterilize their things, we were told that no they are not available. However after insisting we did get a microwave in each of our rooms so thanks for that.

Highly inaccesible

Nice and clean apartment, easy check in / check out. We had the two bedroom flat which is made of two bedrooms (both with single beds) but requested an extra bed in one of the bedrooms to fit 5 people, two bathrooms (one is en-suite), a really large lounge / dining room area and kitchen, a large balcony overlooking the pool. It could do with a little fix to the mosquito nets and insects screens as some have holes in them, plus they do not open easily (we had problems as two of them came off while trying to open them but we were able to put them back in place). Other than that I really can’t complain. Good value for money. AC available at an extra cost but ceiling fans are also installed.

Second time at these apartments

We stayed at this apartment facility for a week as a family with two adults and one child (9). 

Upon arrival we immediately noticed many missing items in the apartment and we were quite shocked by the general condition of the building. It does not appear to have been maintained for years, and this goes for the pool area too! 

In the apartment many things were out of order. Both toilets, the fan in the ceiling in the living room, a sink was leaking and the general cleanliness left us with the impression of nothing had been done. Long black hairs left in both shower facilities!!!

In the first morning we were awakened by a mouse in the kitchen. We did not catch the mouse, and reported it to Gozo Village along with other of our findings. They sent a groundsman to the apartment who was not surprised at all by the mouse nor the issues we pointed out. 

Overall this place was probably good sometime in a far past but today it is not recommendable in any way. Sorry to say - but having spent a week there this is my honest opinion. 
If you consider going there - think it over twice. It is not worth the money. 

Not worth the money - very poor maintenance standards

We stayed in apartment 48D.
Balcony accessed via a door through bedroom doesn't lock!
Limescale all over the bathroom and absolutely filthy grout.
Termites living in a massive hole in the skirting board.
The cleaner came in half way through our stay and left the apartment smelling like stagnant water. (Clearly not used fresh water or cleaning products)
The hobs on the cooker don't work properly neither does the oven.
The microwave takes nearly triple the usual time to heat something up.
We had to trade other residents a corkscrew for a broken and rusty can opener.
Air conditioning in the bedrooms is beyond inadequate.
Limescaled shower with no preassure that floods the bathroom unless you remove it from its mount and hold it directly on yourself.
Scalding hot tap and shower water (you could make a coffee with it)
Dirty pool area.
Doorframes arent sealed to the walls correctly allowing bugs to live behind them.
Flea ridden cats all over the complex.
Fresh bedding and towels once a week in a hot country like this is also a joke.
In no way is this a 3 star apartment!

Was made bareable by the area it is in and the people I was with.

Only plus is the apartment size

Large Apartment sadly needs quite a bit of updating showers leaking into the cleaning cupboard and through the actual shower door leaving the bathroom floor dangerously slippy.quite a few bugs crawling around on the floor at night even when the doors/ windows are closed all day so finding ways in by other means ie holes in skirting boards or behind kitchen cupboards etc. Apartment area Can be really noisy due to other people staying playing drinking games at 4 o clock in the morning slamming doors etc. Security could be made better the front patio door and window, didn't lock also when sleeping another guest entered our apartment some how through the main door to the apartment when approached questioned  by family member they ran off.. Pool needs to be cleaned more during the week and would be good if the bathroom towels were exchanged more often stayed 12 days and only changed once not really hygenic with 30c heat most days  having to have showers every day became very smelly also could do with more sunbeds around the pool as local people seem to be visiting on the weekends and taking them up instead of paying guests  anyone looking to visit restaraunt beaches etc prepare for a long walk as there isn't much close to the apartments..i wouldn't recommend sorry

Average

These apartments are large and spacious. They are  sadly let down by the uncontrolled noise coming  from other guests. From morning to night its loud music, people shouting, kids screaming and jumping in the pool. There seems to be like a community hall in one of the flats in   A block  with people coming and going all day long. The fact that there is no one on site to control things leads  to the bedlam that ensures from other inconsiderate guests.
If you dislike noisy places  Avoid otherwise enjoy the noise !

Spoilt by noise

My 2 daughters and I have just returned from a fantastic 2 week stay here.  The apartment complex is located in the quiet village of Ghasri, less than 10 minutes drive from Victoria and about 20 minutes from the ferry terminal at Mgarr.  It can be reached by bus from Victoria, but I would recommend a car for ease, there is plenty of parking on the road.

We had been emailed directions and were told the key would be in the door, which it was. Our apartment was downstairs and opened up onto a large patio are by the pool.

It was very spacious for 3 people with 3 single beds in the bedroom, a handheld shower over a full sized bath in the bathroom and a large living room kitchen area with  cable TV.  The kitchen had a full sized hob and oven, microwave and generous fridge freezer together with a selection of pans and oven dishes.  Disappointingly there was only 1 very small sharp knife which made meal prep difficult.

The living area and bedroom both had ceiling fans, perhaps it was because the bedroom was below ground level, but the fans were more than adequate and we didn't use the air-conditioning.

A few days into our visit, we came back to find we had no electricity so rang Joe the handyman (the number was by the main door). After trying to talk me through what to do, with no success, he came out at 10pm and fixed the problem.  2 days later the bathroom flooded due to a crack in the toilet and he came out again and replaced it.

Outside, the patio had a table and chairs and small washing line..... and the overflow pipe from the apartment upstairs emptied directly onto it, resulting in our towels being drenched while they were being dried on the backs of the chairs.  Fortunately we weren't sitting out there at the time.

The apartment also loses points for inexplicably only having 2 comfortable chairs, despite being marketed as being for 3 people.  Admittedly we spent most of our time either out exploring or in the pool, but it would have been nice if we could all sit and relax in the apartment too.

Lastly, the pool was filthy, there were clumps of hair, plasters and numerous dead wasps floating in it.  We only saw it being cleaned once in 2 weeks.

Overall we had a fantastic holiday in a great apartment and we would happily stay again, just a few niggles let it down.
