The property has a beautifully conceived interior and gardens. Anastasia, our host throughout, was friendly, helpful and superb overall. The property was clean, the breakfast lovely, and all the facilities for self catering were present and fully adequate.All this is combined with a local area and Island that were a joy to visit. Given the opportunity we would certainly return to this property.

Excellent experience, great location, big room, well decorated, lovely hosts, few minutes Walt to the ferry, large garden with relaxing area and a swimming pool, few restaurants nearby, very good wi-fi

Location is perfect: walking distance from promenade, ferries, coffee shops and restaurants. Bus to Valletta less than a minute away.
The house itself is a 150 years old town house carefully restored, adding modernity while keeping the old charm. Rooms are larger than usual, some junior suite size, some have balcony or terrace.
Large garden with swimming pool, sun-beds and olive trees to unwind after a day out.

My husband, my parents and I all stayed here for a week, what can I say...it was BRILLIANT! 
Loved our room (Malta room) and my parents room was lovely too (can’t remember what it was called). 
The owners are all lovely, so helpful, including their wee dog (she’s soo cute). 
The outdoor seating area’s are so nice, the pool is also great. 
Honestly would recommend staying here and would book again if we come back to Malta (we hopefully will).

We had an excellent week in Maltese Maltese, the owners Olla and Matt couldn’t have been more helpful - accommodation very quirky and clean  our rooms were very spacious the pool and garden area was fab 😎 we will be back

Without doubt it was a great stay. I was very well attended and the owners were always available to help in what was needed. The bathroom was always clean, the kitchen was always clean and had what it took to make some food. My room was exactly like the one in the photo and I found it an excellent value for money, plus the couple being very friendly. Thanks Ola and Matt for these days there with you.

Super good service and a lovely little place! Feels like you are home when you live here! A nice little pool in the back yard! Can really recommend this place! Cleaning was very good! Not so expensive!

Very enjoyable stay. The accommodation was clean, friendly and welcoming.
Food was fresh and beautifully displayed each morning. Ann had the world of knowledge of the local area and made some great recommendations of local restaurants to us. 
Alba has character and yet has all the modern comforts one required to relax and unwind in Malta.

We stayed here for four nights. Ann, the owner, is very friendly and really does encourage you to come and go as if the place were your own. We had a room with a shared bathroom and had no sharing issues. Our room was clean and a good size. A nice walking distance to ‘the front’- a shorter walk down the hill towards the boats and the shops or a slightly longer walk towards St. Julian’s direction. We had a lovely stay. Thank you Ann.

 As has been mentioned loads of times this is a very friendly B@B which is very well situated. Breakfast is from 08:00 although the coffee bar is open all the time and the coffee on offer is very nice indeed. I stayed in Room 4 which had a very comfortable double bed in it !The bed linen was nice and the duvet was super. You may come and go as you please and there are a few small shops in the immediate vicinity. The road outside is very busy indeed and I presume some of the rooms closest to the road side may suffer a bit. My room had its own terrace and was very quiet.Buses are just around the corner and the seafront is about a 10 minute walk away. On reaching the seafront the ferries are straight across the road ! Stay at Alba B & B

A short three day stay

Relaxed and friendly 

We enjoyed our recent 4 nights here. Ann, the owner, was helpful in every way. The B&B is convenient to everything, as long as some steep hills don’t deter you. (If they do, you can take the bus, which has stops very very near by.) The location made it easy to check out excellent restaurants of St Julian and walks along the way in Sliema, as well as to take side trips to Gozo and to Valletta.

Very nice place in Sliema!

We just came back from a 4-night stay at Maltese Maltese. It’s a lovely property, full of character and very well decorated. The location is perfect to walk to the harbour or take the bus to visit the North of the island.

The room we stayed in was lovely, clean and spacious enough, so was the bathroom. Saying that our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, nor were the towels changed. We liked the nice touches such as the added beach towels and mosquito pug. As well as the big bottles of shampoo which feels a lot less wasteful as the usual small ones provided in B&B and hotels. Good WiFi too!

There were however a few things that could be improved, the main one being breakfast. It’s a do-it-yourself kind of system where you get to use the kitchen and help yourself to what is on offer. We personally found this a bit too hands on and awkward. Like being in someone else’s kitchen and trying to reach across people to butter your toast and make a tea. We also ended up doing our washing up every morning as no one explained us if it was ok to leave it in the sink... breakfast itself was also too basic, it would have been nice to have fresh bread and pastries on offer.

We also found the room to be quite noisy, oddly the hosts were mainly responsible for the noise. They had the bad habit of talking to each over from across the living area which was right next to our room.

Generally the hosts didn’t try very hard to make us feel welcome and on our last morning before check out they were in the kitchen while we were having breakfast but barely acknowledged us, nor did they offer us orange juice or coffee (which had been tidied away by 9.20am when breakfast is meant to be available until 10.30am). They watched us do our washing up and leave the room without thanking us for our stay or wishing us a nice journey back. We felt quite miffed to be ignored in such a way and this unfortunately left us with a bad last feeling of the place.
