We have a new name!

We came to Casa Contenta with 5 couples and had a fantastic time.  Rooms were very large and the property was awesome.  skydeck has amazing 360 degree views of all of Cabo.  We spent most of our days in the large pool if we weren't in town.  Dora was amazing and for a small fee cooked us amazing breakfast everyday.  I highly recommend using the grocery service and have all of your food delivered prior to your arrival.  Made it super easy to show up and relax.  I would recommend this villa to families, couples or large groups.  Free wifi and calling to the US was an added bonus.  Will definitely be back.

Great Couples Vacation

We were looking for a nice getaway for my 60th birthday. Our friends told us about CASA CONTENTA, so I googled it and sent an email. Craig (the Owner) responded immediately and said it was available, sent all the information and we booked it. We arrived at this gorgeous "Villa" and were greeted by Dora, the housekeeper. She's most adorable person you'll ever meet. So welcoming and sweet! She gave us the grand tour and we settled in. This place was absolutely perfect! The views are spectacular, and they have thought of every detail anyone could possibly need or want. Ubuntu, Craig's puppy dog is also a joy to have around. He's the best watchdog and seems to be very loyal to all the guests as well as to Craig, who has a private penthouse at the Villa as well. It's comforting that he's there, never obtrusive, but definitely gives you peace of mind in case you have questions or need anything. Of course we tried to steal Dora and bring her back with us, but she's very loyal to Craig and CASA CONTENTA. We all overpacked for this vacation, because once we arrived at the Villa, we hardly left...it's that perfect! Walmart and Costco are literally 5 minutes away and with the gourmet kitchen that's available to use, we didn't even want to go out to eat. The only thing that was disappointing was the day we had to leave this beautiful oasis! We're hoping to return, perhaps every year for my birthday. I couldn't ask for a better gift than a vacation at CASA CONTENTA!!!

60th Birthday Celebration!

This is my second time staying at the Casa Contenta (last was in 2010) and this time I brought my extended family to enjoy this magical place. Like other reviewers we had a party of 12; enough to rent the entire house. The house is huge and there are plenty of quiet places to sit and read a book, or enjoy a nice family dinner. The rooftop deck is one of my favourite places. It has a perfect view of Land's End, the Sea of Cortez, and the twinkling city of Cabo san Lucas below. The view is so good you can see the spouting of whales in the distance!

Dora, who takes care of the home, is such a special lady and I was so excited to see her again. She was a total gem (12 people make a lot of dishes!), always smiling and happy. Craig greeted us when we arrived and gave the tour, and as other reviewers mentioned was pretty hands off after that, although always available by email or text if something was needed. He was also very patient; we had three rambunctious kids who went a little wild with the pool. 

The Casa Contenta has everything you need for a great group vacation. Hot tub, pool rooftop deck with large fire pit, nook for watching movies, large, fully equipped kitchen, lots of places to gather inside and out, or enjoy a quiet moment on a lounger. The location is outside of the city, but only a 7 minute drive away. The Costco is just down the hill, as well as the Walmart, and the towns of San Jose del Cabo and Todos Santos are close by for day trips. 

I love the Casa Contenta and now my family does too. We've already planned to come back! Thanks Craig, Dora and Ubuntu (the house dog)!

Family Fun in the Sun

I had my entire staff at the Casa Contenta for a work retreat and everything about it was PERFECT. The rooms, the amenities, the view, and especially the service were all top-notch and I couldn't recommend it more highly. You will not be disappointed!!

AWESOME!!!

This is a beautiful 4 level bed and breakfast!  It's located at the top of a hill and still just minutes awayfrom town and the beach.  Upon arrival the owner Craig, whom I'd been in contact since booking gave us a tour of the place.  He stays on the grounds as well, but was hands off after the tour, unless we needed him. I think I saw him twice and I was there for 5 nights.  There are so many nooks and lounging areas to relax in the common areas both inside and out on every level. The decor gives you a very warm island or beach vibe and the views are breathtaking!  They take good care of the grounds and the interior.  The pictures on their website don't do this place justice. It's much nicer that the photos depict. 

Since we were such a large group we were able to rent out the entire villa, which included a bonus room (casita) and full use of the kitchen.  Each morning the housekeeper, Dora, would tidy up the place and our rooms. She was awesome and super sweet! She spoke enough English to get by and was a real help if we had questions while she was on-site. 

I would definitely stay here again!  The owner is very responsive and this place is worth every penny. I forgot to mention the pool and hot tub on the 2nd floor deck and the rooftop fire pit. Take advantage of both!
