Very pleasant family owned and operated hotel. Excellent location near shops and restaurants and dive shop. We would definitely stay there again.  We particularly enjoyed the private courtyard for taking a nap and sitting around talking. 

Excellent Small Hotel. 

We loved our stay at Casa Bella!  First and formost, the staff were friendly, welcoming and accomodating.  Because of the noise level at the adjacent nightclub Barbara was willing to allow us to cancell our reservations without penalty but we opted to use the hotel provided sound machine to drown out the noise and it worked perfectly!  Barbara and Sergio offered us suggestions about restaurants, activities and tips on using the local bus for a trip to Cabo San Jose.  Sergio suggestion and instructions about  "The Hike" to Mt. Solmar was greatly appreciated.  It was one of the highlights of our trip.  Staying at Casa Bella allowed us to experience authentic Cabo San Lucas.  It's ideally located on a somewhat quieter part of the city but within walking distance to the non-touristy part of Cabo, the marina, beaches, shopping and restaurants.  We didn't find it necessary to rent a car or use taxies(other than our transportation to the airport.  We like to explore and felt perfectly safe.  Taking the city bus to Cabo San Jose was easy and cheap.  The hotel itself is beautiful and small!   The courtyard and pool were in oasis.  We loved having morning coffee and pasteries on the verranda.  It was so convenient to return to the hotel multiple times during the day after each of our excursions.  I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!!  Thanks to Barbara and her staff we had a wonderful stay!!!!

Wonderful Stay at Casa Bella

We booked Casa Bella because it’s next door to See Creatures, where we were leaving from on a liveaboard dive trip. But we were pleasantly surprised to find a welcome oasis amid the busy thrum of downtown Cabo San Lucas. My bed was tall and so comfortable after my long flight. The shower was decorated with delightful Mexican tiles, and it was big enough to play freeze tag in! Best of all is the manager, Barbara Ungson. She was so quick to reply all my emails arranging our stay, and she gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Barbara went above and beyond helping one of us get his bag in time for the liveaboard’s sailing the next day, and she wouldn’t take a penny in return for her help. Thanks, Barbara! 

An oasis in busy Cabo

This is a hidden gem. From the street it is nondescript, but once inside the gates it is absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. The host was very pleasant and helpful. Great recommendations for dinner. 

Great place to stay. 

A very pleasant family run hacienda-like hotel with rooms around a courtyard. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. The staff is extremely helpful and the location is walkable to the malecon,  stores and restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Casa Bella Lovely. I have been all over the world and this might be the nicest room I have ever stayed in. Barbra and her staff are exceptional and kind. You could not meet nicer people.  We had the pool to ourselves. Awesome. 
Regretfully, directly over wall was a big nightclub that advertised “open every night until 5 AM”   So loud all night, We had to check out 2 days early. No sleep on a vacation, is not a vacation. Love to you Barbra. Shame that your in that situation. 

Great place. Bring earplugs and plan to sleep during the day, because you wont sleep at night. 

This is a wonderful hotel.  Stayed here the first weekend in February to celebrate my partner's birthday.  So much more character than the sprawling all inclusive resorts on the beach...I honestly felt as though we were in Argentina or Spain.  Our host, Barbara Ungson, was so welcoming and helped us settle into Cabo San Lucas.  She even gave us vouchers for a complementary desayuno (breakfast) at a couple of very delicious local places within walking distance.  The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff really care to make your stay enjoyable.  I would also definitely recommend the Italian restaurant next door and the Spanish restaurant across the plaza.  Thank you for a wonderful stay!  Would definitely book here again!

Paradise in Cabo San Lucas

The hotel is near downtown, clean and very nice. I felt safe, walkable distance to restaurants, drugstore and shops. Also fare price.
Mexican, quiet and confy. The pool was really nice.
Totally recomendable.

Quick visit to Los Cabos

Absolutely wonderful small hotel in Cabo, with a little plaza across the street. The hotel's an old converted mansion with guest rooms arranged around a central courtyard. Beautiful and secluded internally with lovely landscaping. My room was perfect, the bed was really comfortable with great pillows, and the adjoining bathroom was huge with a truly enormous shower area. 
The staff there are fantastic. When I made the reservation, I received an email the next day warning about the nightclub along the street, and saying that if I wanted to cancel they would fully understand. I loved that they were upfront about it, and actually the noise wasn't enough to be disturbing. 
The hotel staff also arranged my airport transfer. When I checked out, she asked about my plans for the day, and I told them I was going scuba diving. She said, 'Oh, nobody's in your room tonight, you should keep the key so you can come back and have a shower afterwards.' I didn't even ask, they just volunteered. So I was able to come back for a shower mid afternoon, long after I'd checked out. 
The hotel pool in the courtyard is small, so if that's your priority, it may not be the place for you, but I would 100% stay there again.

Fabulous Spot, Lovely People

Casa Bella is beautiful.  The Spanish tiles, arches, wooden arched doors make this place so unique.  Clean is an understatement, it was immaculate.  No matter what time we left in the late morning, our room was always cleaned immediately.  The cleaning staff, grounds people, and the desk people were all friendly and helpful.  Barbara, the owner, is there to help you with questions and Sergio is always there to help when she's away.  You are given a room for the front door, so it felt like you were coming home.  The bed was very comfortable (if you are short like me, you might need a step stool) to climb in the bed.  : )  We stayed in room 3, which happened to be Barbara's childhood room.   In the morning, sweet breads and coffee were served on the porch area.  I enjoyed sipping coffee and relaxing in the big comfy chairs, while listening to the birds.  Crazy how quiet the courtyard is with the busy street out front.  It was a short walk to the Marina and nightlife.  As a woman, I had no issues walking alone.  Friday nights, there is an art show across the street in the park area.   I would HIGHLY recommend staying here and I hope I have the opportunity to come back again.
