Excellent place for a family vacation, apartment 507 is perfect for a small family. It is conveniently located near to supermarkets, good restaurants, shopping centers and everything is walking distance. 

The perfect vacation 

I came for dental implants and had a wonderful vacation experience. My two brothers and I stayed on the 5th. floor and had a corner apt. The ocean view was very nice. We had 3 bedrooms located downstairs. The upper living area was spacious as well as the bedrooms. Two bedrooms had terraces that were very nice. The terrace off the living room was an extra bonus. I have only good things to day about this place. What ever small things that needed attention were handled in a very professional and timely manner. The 3 pools were well maintained and the walk way to the beach was very accessible. The staff were friendly even though they spoke little English there was no communication problems. I will definitely stay there again. It’s probably the only place I will stay when I return to Cancún for another dental vacation. I walked everywhere because the supermarket, pharmacy and shops are right down the street. My dentist office was a short walk from our apt. Cancún dental specialist is a wonderful clinic. I couldn’t be happier with their services and Villa Marlín.

Villas Marlín is located in the middle of the hotel zone right across from the shopping mall with a great grocery store and excursion kiosks. La Isla plaza is within walking distance. Very clean pools.

Perfect location

My god the views are second to none the location is covinient right across from a shopping mall and a Soriana food store. It was everything we needed and some more. I hope for a return visit in 2019 the apartments are just perfect.

Best views

I stayed at villas Marlon at 120 USA dollars per nite. Location ok. Hotel area is very pricey. Food and souvenirs three times the norm for other Mexico towns.  Do not go to flea market 28 prices are horribly expensive Instead take route 1 bus and tell the driver to drop you off at Mercado 23 the locals go here and is cheaper for souvenirs and such. Another thing expect to pay 30 bucks taxi from airport to villa Marlin 45 minute ride one way. You can also set up pick up time with them. The taxi drivers will charge you 29 bucks for two miles. Avoid them they r unregulated and will charge you what they want because they see your forehead and see tourist. The first day we paid a 100 bucks for going a couple of miles to places in hotel zone. Bus is 1 dollar to ride.

Hotel zone prices and taxi rants

My family of 5 just completed a 7 night stay in one of the units. While the outward appearance is very outdated, our unit was beautifully decorated, had comfortable beds and the ac units in each bedroom downstairs kept us cooled at night. Unfortunately, this particular unit did not have an ac unit in the living room/kitchen up stairs, so we opened the balcony door and entry dinner to generate a breeze when were using the common area (which wasn't too much). It is located right on the beach behind the Kukulkan Shopping Plaza which houses a grocery store for easy access. The restaurant near main pool was one of our favorite places to dine for lunch and we absolutely loved being served by Ben, super awesome waiter! The city bus that runs through the hotel zone is a short walk to in front of the shopping plaza and Isla Shopping Mall is a 10 minute walk away. There is a beach service to rent 2 lounge chairs and umbrella for appx $12 usd. There is also loungers and umbrellas near the pool at no cost to guests.

Great Location, Excellent Price!

The complex needs a little upkeep. The condo we had was on two floors so not good if you have mobility issues. We were on fist floor so had a terrace and a balcony. What a view! Never tiered of it. The bed was comfortable.

Breathtaking view

The room was clean and reasonably priced.  It was also well stocked.  It is not in the middle of things so if you are interested in staying more in the middle of the hotel zone this is not for you.  You will be using cab service.  We did not have to because of the driver we used from Cancun Dental Services.  Very quiet and the pool set up was beautiful even though we did not use it.  Too hot for us.  Stayed in Unit 32.  It is definitely only big enough for one or two people.  One of my complaints was that there was very little hot water and I could not locate the laundry room.  Happy that your could translate the Spanish TV to English and that Netflix was provided. All in all nice place.

Reasonable priced

We just stayed and rented a condo through VRBO. We stayed in room 435 and had a wonderful week. The condo is what it is advertised to be and Landy, our house keeper was amazing!!!!!! Thanks Landy for taking good care of us.
The location is outstanding - there is a full supermarket in the mall right across the street - we were able to get anything from beer to milk, fresh fruits and vegetables and even a rotisserie chicken and body boards.
The ocean constantly was rough with big waves which the kids loved for body board surfing but not good for swimming. Villas Marlín has three different pools, it was clean and quiet but older. It has ample beach chairs and umbrellas.
One day, a water main broke and we were without water for about four hours that along with it is just an older facility is why am giving this a four-star and not a five star. 
If you’re looking for a quiet getaway that’s great for a family and you don’t need much for nightlife this is a great place. 
At night my husband and I loved sitting on the balcony and watching the cruise ships sail by.
It is also conveniently located in the main hotel zone so you can easily access a bus and get to the ferry and/or other restaurants and locations. Safe location.

Great stay room 435

Our family has rented at the Villas Marlin twice now; #319 in December of 2016, (five of us) and we are currently in #221 (three of us) as I write this. Both villas are clean, well stocked, and the two separate owners (Linda and Fernando) were extremely easy to deal with, speak English, and very accommodating. The photos posted on Trip Advisor are realistic and true. 
Now, just to be clear; this is not a 5-star resort. You can’t call down to a front desk with requests. Both Linda and Fernando will answer any and all questions and will help out with anything you need, but other than that, you’re on your own. I should mention that it does help if one knows basic Spanish if you plan on asking the staff any questions. The on-site staff does not speak much English, but then again, you are in Mexico. 
Anyway, these are individual condos that are stocked with the basics, but you will have to supply your own items such as body soap, paper towels, dish soap, and toilet paper. Not a problem with the supermercado in the mall across the street that stays open late and has a wonderful bakery and deli.
Yes, both condos could use a little updating but it’s mostly cosmetic. Everything was in working order when we rented. Both condos have fantastic views and great locations. The security at this place is top notch, and we always see someone cleaning and wiping things down.
I’ve read some of the other reviews and, of course, can’t comment on those units. Sounds like some had bad experiences. But rest assured, units 319 and 221, and their owners, are great!
Besides, the beach here is the main draw. The fact that you can walk from the beach back up to your unit in less than three minutes is why we love it here!
