Your satisfaction with this property will depend on who owns your condo and how well they take care of it. Some locations are peaceful and quiet while others are near the highway and noisy. All the swimming pools are quite shallow. Water temperatures are pleasant in the winter and too warm in the summer. The beach club is very nice though a little pricey. It’s a short walk down the hill to the beach but feels very far when you are returning and must walk uphill on a hot day. The location is remote. Taxis are plentiful but there are no Ubers and I was never able to find InDriver. I stayed there a year.

Hit and miss

Had a great experience at Alamar Vallarta. The place is just outside La Cruz, and it is well-kept and showcases a stunning view of the beach, ocean, and town below.
This is a phenomenal spot if you like a good view. 

The place is secure, the guards are friendly, and the pool is very relaxing. There are also several neighbouring pools that you can use as well.

Overlooking the town

Our lunch at this restaurant was exceptional.  The food, view and service was above our expectations.  Miguel Angel, our server was attentive but not "not in your face".  We will return and do recommend this restaurant.

The Top Sky Bar is the Tops

The pools the staff the atmosphere is awesome. Felt very secure and safe and enjoyed the proximity to everything.
Was nice to see the Ocean without having to be right on the Ocean, Because got to enjoy the lights of PV and Bucerious and also enjoy the tranquility of the jungle. The grounds are kept very clean full time staff really work hard to take care of the pools and the elevators garages and also the Beach Club down on the Ocean is also very clean and well kept. 
The Coco Beach club offers fabulous foods and beverages for a very fair price. Nachos with Shrimp are my favorite snack in the afternoon. The Evenings have entertainment with gourmet family dining more structured for the romantic side. Very convenient closes at 10 PM.  Perfect place in the world to kick back and enjoy a steady feast of sunshine and kindness. The Mexican staff goes out of their way to make your day!!!

Excellent accommodation super Amenities GREAT STAFF

Mexican people here in Mexico are nice, only when they see your pocket and you spend. Otherwise you are nobody even that they don't know you can be super wealthy, they care less about you, if you do not provide good tips, provide endless amounts of cash or make them good commissions.
Mexican majority are two faced, they will be nice to you as you spend, but they will turn their back on you if you stop spending, or decide to not purchase from them.
All the care and want for is your money! The Macho Man mentality truly exists here!
They have a restaurant named Cocos at the Alamar Beach Club OMG horrible and expense. The 2 Macho guys that run it, think they own Alamar.
It seems like it's owner vs employees, it's sad to see how employees feel so much to be in charge like they are the owner. They don't respect the owners at all.
The macho Mexican attitude is the main problem, the Mexican men have a name tag, uniform or title... OMG WEEE!!!! THEY ARE THE PATROL for everything, be aware, if you sneeze, if you park a little over the parking space, if you start having fun, they are going to approach you and make sure you are corrected.

Worse ever. No power, employees treat owners very bad,

We live here 3-5 months of the year. We chose this developement for many reasons and one of them is how well built and maintained the property and buildings are. There is NO ROOF TOP bar by the way. We have 2 private pool areas, one within the gated areas and one right one the beach called the Beach club which is for owners at anytime. This is not an all inclusive resort, we do not supply towels and nightly entertainment. This is OUR homes, it is quiet after 11 every night, we have a fantastic security guards who check all areas 24/7. A lot of owners rent their units in between their stays and we all expect that the folks that rent respect the areas and follow the rules as all of the owners do. La Cruz, Bucerías, Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, Punta Mita etc. are only a cab or bus ride away if you want entertainment any day of the week but just know that when you come back after an evening out, or a day trip away, you can experience the quiet, safety and beauty of this place many of us call home. You can watch whales from the pools, play in the waves on our beach area or join the locals at the Playa Manzanilla....You can also enjoy the GREEN JUNGLE area, the beauty of the Banderas Bay, sail boats/ yachts/ fishing pangas/ paddle boarders/ going by.  We are right beside an amazing Marina, fishing village and an authentic Mexican community of La Cruz right beside us where there is music somewhere almost every night of the week. You can feel safe always, sleep with your doors open if you chose and sleep to the crashing of the waves. This, my friends, and readers is why we chose Alamar! We love it.

Our winter home

Alamar is a gorgeous condo resort with beautiful views, great landscaping, private beach club. Right across the street is a fresh fruit/vegetable co-op where farmers bring in local produce daily. Once you’ve stayed at Alamar you will be too spoiled to stay anywhere else

Alamar is Stunning

Our stay at Alamar was good. The condo was well
Maintained. The second bedroom was a little small for four teens in two double beds but they made it work. The pools are great, warm and beautiful. The beach is about a five minute walk and is rocky.  But it is a short walk to town for restaurants, excellent fish market, and bus/taxi stops just outside the drive

Great pools

We stayed in a 3 bed 3 bath condo. We had everything we could need in the condo. 

Mega, for grocery shopping is a 150 peso taxi ride and they have anything you could need in food or beverages. Walmart is a bit further and was 200 pesos for the cab.. There are little shops in La Cruz wee you can pick up the basics and the Fresh Fish market is open everyday. There is a fruit an vegetable market on the way to the beach club that you can stock up at anytime.(they speak Spanish only so your need your translator book )

The infinity pool between the condos has a breathe taking view. Always lots of chairs and impeccably clean.
The beach club is down the hill across the road and down another short road. It again is beautiful. The pool is large and there are lots of chairs and umbrellas and little cabanas. There are chairs and loungers on the beach to also enjoy. The beach is rocky and if you want to walk need to bring your shoes or runners  The restaurant/bar opens at noon and they serve you. We did find it quite pricey .We happened to see someone order fries, which aren't listed on the menu, so we ordered also . 40 pesos the first day and anywhere between 40 and 65 for the rest of the stay. Lesson ask how much.
La Cruz is a quaint Mexican village and the people are very friendly. Market on Sunday at the marina is an adventure.
We loved this property and where lucky to have a vehicle to get to the beach club. This is not an easy place for anyone with even a slight mobility issue to get around. The hill is steep and long.

Beautiful

We stayed in a condo 3 full restrooms with 3 walking bathrooms. Fully equipped ant was just excellent.

Pool area was very nice and relaxed.

Beach club was the great surprise, it is excellent and you have everything you need. Food was fantastic and drinks were good also.

A couple recommendations, it will be a good idea to provide towels service in the beach club.

Adjust a little the prices of the beverage in the beach club.

Offer a shuttle between beach club and condos, not all rented a car, and it is not walking distance for everybody.

I will definitely come back!
