If I was to travel all the way to this place from anywhere in the world ,
I would bring a book of matches and complete my mission on the worst possible place to stay.. it’s a very dangerous living situation with no escape exits except the front door. Do yourself a favor and at least rent a room with a shower in the same room! View is beautiful but quality is very poor!! Check around and then decide. ?

It's is a bit "Robinson Crusoe crossed with Gilligan's Island, but the rates are low, the beach is great,the water and soap sometimes scarce, but you will enjoy that "hut on a beach" life...and Todos Santos, some great restaurants, the next door pool and the sunsets will smooth any rough edges...

Life on the beach in a grass covered hut...

1. if you enjoy camping outdoors, you will love this beach front experience. If you "Don't do the Camping thing"... then this is not for you. 

2. You will need to bring own supply of Food and Beverage - a cooler would be great, although each hut does have a mini fridge included. A restaurant on the beach can be found just a five min walk away, but restaurant prices may be high. Good for coffee and breakfast, burgers and such. 

3. Communal type bathroom/ shower facilities just behind the huts. Separate Men's and Ladies, with high walls but no roof. Very nice. 

4. The best thing about this experience is being able to sleep and relaxing under a billion stars, while hearing the crashing waves of the ocean and enjoying a fine bottle of Red. 

5. The huts do have electricity,  so you want to have a portable radio or device to play music at times. ( better yet, take your own guitar or harmonica and make your own tunes)

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE MAYAN VILLAGE

If you are ready to go basic and enjoy the simple things this place is for you! Rooms super comfortable, pool perfect and amazing setting to be right in front of the beach! I will totally come back for more nights. For food most try the vendors on the highway to Todos Santos. Perfect family owned taquerias that have some of the best price. Or head to the sister hotel right next door for more resort setting. 

Amazing place!!!

Imagine a round concrete platform on a beach, barely large enough to fit a queen size bed.  Now imagine surrounding that with palm thatch and a thatched room, with a sliding glass door facing the ocean.

On each side of your bed is a tiny nightstand, and at the foot of your bed, a little chair. 

Now imagine that there are about a dozen of these little bed-huts, about 20 feet from each other, all lined up on a beach.

That's it.

No bathroom, no sink. 

No front desk staff, no room service, no staff around at all.

If this seems like a good idea, you might like this place.
