We stopped here for 1 night as part of a birding trip around the Yucatan. This is a basic, but pleasant hotel with plenty of parking by the rooms. Our room had a comfortable bed and the shower had excellent flow and heat (unfortunately it flooded the room and corridor before we noticed, but staff were very helpful and efficient in sorting it out). A few toiletries and 2 small bottles of water were provided.

WiFi was good (we were in room 1 and used the reception WiFi).  

There's a nice restaurant immediately opposite where the waiter was very friendly and we enjoyed some good food.

Good value stay

We stayed here on business with a small group. We were very happy with our rooms and with the service we received. Breakfast was not included with the room but the breakfast offered in the little restaurant was good at a good price.

Cleanest Place in Town

More of a transit hotel for drivers but the rooms are big, there is hot water, air-con, big comfy bed, daily cleaning, big t.tv. and it's quiet at night. Also it is priced well but that's because it is on the edge of town so without a car can be a 30 minute walk into town. The staff were great as well.

Stayed 3 nights

The hotel was clean and the service was good, but like most of México, the city streets had trash everywhere. This is a problem that affects the entire world as their trash enters our oceans and our seafood. The corrupt, inefficient, and stupid government officials at all levels do not have the ability to change things; it is hopeless.

Ok hotel, dirty city

This hotel is a decent place to stay - it has all the basics, plus there aren't that many good hotels in Felipe Carillo Puerto. Check-in for our group was easy. The wi-fi was slow and erratic. In my room the toilet paper holder was broken, so the toilet paper roll was on top of the toilet tank. The a/c was hard to adjust. There was a kitchen area with a sink and refrigerator. There is no elevator, but the hotel is only 3 stories high. It's an ok place to stay a few nights.

Basic, fine

There is little choice if one wants to stay in FCP and this by all accounts is the best at a low price. An Average rating does not imply a poor offering; in fact the hotel met all the criteria to provide satisfaction but it did not sparkle or provide a luxurious atmosphere.
My room on the first floor traversed the building. One could enter from the passage ways at either end. Privacy was only possible if one kept the curtains closed on the only window as people over the street could look in too easily otherwise. But the bed was large and good and the bathroom was in functional order. There was no real decor, just bare walls painted cream many years ago. It was clean.
We ate a late supper. breakfast and lunch here. As with the hotel it was of a satisfactory standard but not superior cuisine.They adhered to one of my medical diets but replaced everything with another plate of fruit which is not the best for a diabetic. They were willing but not organised. 
Most people see the Sian Ka'an Reseve through the north entrance. This hotel is close to the south entrance along the old military road along which one could find almost every bird on the Yucatan peninsular, crocodiles and more.

Urban Hotel offering a standard package  for travellers

This was my second stay at this “transit hotel”. I was traveling from Chetumal to Cancun and needed a cheap hotel to rest for the night and continue the following morning. The hotel is not luxurious by any means but who cares if you’re just there to rest. The rooms are dark, but appeared to be very clean and well taken care of. Upon check in the receptionist did not ask for my ID, just my name and handed me my room key, safety issue? 

Since the hotel is located on a busy street it is VERY NOISY, PLEASE BRING EARPLUGS. I tried to sleep without the earplugs but that wasn’t going to happen. I could hear a party on the backside, cars revving their engines and heavy conversations.

BREAKFAST: The hotel claims that they offer a continental breakfast but I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s one guy managing the whole kitchen and the service area. It took us 1.5 hours for the server/cook to make us toast, and a few cuts of fruit. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re really tight on money, my hats off to him for hustling. 

VERDICT: Would I stay here again? Probably. You can’t beat these cheap $30 a night hotel rooms that offer a bed to rest.

Basic Cheap Hotel, Great for One Night

There aren't many places to stay in Felipe Carillo Puerto.  This hotel is right on the edge of town - a long walk from the centre - and is OK at best.   The a/c was noisy but worked; there was no hot water in our original room but we were given another room where we could have a shower. There are no real facilities here such as a garden or anywhere comfortable to sit.

OK given little choice

I stayed here with a group.  The rooms were functional and curtains needed to be closed for privacy, so no natural light in room.  We had an evening meal here which I would give one star at best!!  Breakfast better with fruit, eggs and pancakes.
However, there was a good selection of birds to see in the trees across the road.  I personally would not stay here again, as it was in an urban position.
