Just the perfect accomodation Hotel opposite for Great Meals ,breakfast was more than enough in rooms ,Veranda over looking the river with the complimentary Port just perfect and will return in the future

Had we did our research more thoroughly, we would have booked the Ulmarra Hotel less than a 100m down the road towards the Clarence River bank, as it was, we had to check in at the Ulmarra Hotel and got the key for Rooftops.
For this we paid about $50 more, just as well it was only for a night. The room price included breakfast, which we thought was superfluous considering what was on offer and a do-it-yourself job!  Once bitten, twice shy!
The room at Rooftops, on the top floor, was just OK, dated and stuffy, maybe the time of year.
Would we go back? - No!

Driving to Sydney we rezlised we were closeby so took potluck. St first it was hard to find as GPS was off. It is managed by Ulmarra Hotel which only has shared bathrooms. We ended up in a 3 suite apartment by ourselves for the night. Each room is completely private and lockable. Well appointed rooms have high quality linens and even a decanter of port and extra bath essentials plus bathrobes and beautiful towels. Breakfast is a serve yourself but there are all the Kelloggs cereals plus 3 mueslies and allbran. Fresh fruits and juice. Variety yogurts, jams and breads. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Microwave. Great value at $130 night


Great find. Stylish, comfortable and many extras 

I am so glad we found the Rooftops. It was perfect in every way. The bed was so comfortable. The spa and decanter of port were an added luxury.  There are 3 ensuite rooms at the rooftop and although they were fully booked we didn’t see anyone else during our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with cereal, fruit, bread, yoghurts, juice etc and you could help yourself. 
The spa room was the smallest but had the wonderful spa
The other bedroom had a private balcony and the third one had a sofa.

Two things I’d like to add for people booking is that
1) You collect your key at the hotel across the road.
2) It would not be wheelchair friendly or for anyone with mobility issues.

We will most certainly be back.

Luxury at its Finest

The location is very good and the open kitchen very well equip but would be nice to have small packet biscuits..One major let down is the bed I did not sleep well as was like sleeping on a plank. I wish propitor would realise that hard beds are not good for back support as an owner of a holiday let I have made sure the beds are comfortable and have been complimented on this aspect. Hard beds do not last any longer than a comfortable bed a problem most hotels have the furniture should be turned over every five years! The area was good and the ambiance fantastic.
