I always stay at Hacienda del Sol, while in Tonalá.  Their staff are very nice and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and the location is close to all of the shopping.  There’s a restaurant and bar on the premises, which is pretty good.  There’s spaces where you can keep your merchandise, for as long as you are there. 
    We will go back.

Vey comfortable and convenient

Rooms are predictably the same every time, clean and nice linens on the beds.the location is premium for exploring Tonala and shopping. 
Nice to have the restaurant in house. Covered secure parking is a big one for us. Staff are extremely helpful.

Homey and welcoming

This was our second stay at Hacienda del Sol and would recommend it to anyone looking for a secure, clean and friendly hotel in the heart of the Tonala shopping district!  Good little restaurant and bar on site... we will be back!

Always a favourite

It is located in Tonala which is 10 minutes from the bus station. Many times when I take a bus to San Miguel I’ll break the trip up and spend night! The personnel is friendly and helpful. Tonala specializes in home items and crafts. The hotel will assign you a bin to store your purchases. Many buyers use the hotel because of this feature.

Clean and convenient

You get what you pay for. The hotel has two sections one is non-smoking and the other is smoking. The front desk is located on one side in front of restaurant. Next to desk there is a bar which opens in the evening, didn’t try any drinks but looked nice. They have designed spaces for hotel guests to leave their purchased merchandise (usually large objects). They have a huge parking area which serves as a garage for vehicles. Looked secure and well light with a guard that walked around. Our room was on the second floor which made it difficult to bring up our belongings. The room is simple and with good internet! It’s old, bathroom is okay, tv is super small but does the trick. No air conditioning, just a fan. Towels are small in size, no blow drier nor iron (if you need one you must ask front staff). The distance between hotel and main plaza area is not far. Thursday’s and Sunday’s you have the flea market which is amazing! 

Affordable Hotel 

Lots of things to like—great staff, good adjoining restaurant for breakfast, secure parking, cervecería on site. Older building, room was adequate albeit small and a bit stuffy with little ventilation.

Welcoming, helpful staff

No window in the room, a/c run like  diesel , bed hard like concrete, an lot of noise all nigth long !!!! Pics on the website are not the reality !!!! That was the worst night of my life. Don't go there if you want to sleep well !!!

HORRIBLE

Stayed here as i was passing by to catch an early flight the following morning. The neighborhood can feel a bit uneasy as soon as the sun sets...it is dark and lonely. It is just a few blocks behind the plaza. 
I had a double room...they are a bit small making it a bit difficult to get around if you're staying with 2 other people, but you can manage because the price is right for a clean, comfy room with a nice bathroom. 
Tip: if you need to catch an early flight (5 am) in the morning like i did, make sure to ask the front desk for help with it the night before because not a lot of taxis roam the place so early. The concierge will call a company the night before to make sure you have a taxi in the morning. They provided excellent service. Thank you!
