This hotel is located directly across the street from the loudest discoteque in Guanajuato. So if your stay includes a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night, don't expect to sleep before 3:30 AM. 

Additionally, there is not actually a bathroom. Instead, there is a freestanding installation in the corner of the room that contains a tiny bathroom like you would find in an old train. See photos. It is not really separate from the sleeping area, and the one in Room 4 is quite smelly. We also spent one night in Room 2 - trying to get farther away from the discoteque - and that bathroom did not smell.

Wifi did not work in Room 4, we had to go out to the landing to use it.

Don't Expect to Sleep

Location is very good and Hotel corridor is quite easy to find. There is ”batroom” (toilet and shover in the same small plastic box? Think that you’re in a train toilet, but there finds also shover - so very small and uncomfortble. Hot water though. Staff should be ”working” instead of stareing computer or IPhone?? Roomcleaning every day, but everything in this hotel has been done like they (owner and staff) are not interested of visitors feeling good & welcome

Good location - that’s it

We stayed at the Mansion for four nights, 2 in Room 2 and 2 in Room 3. The hotel is a bit tricky to find - our cab driver had difficulty, fnally dropping us off behind the Teatro Juarez, from where we walked to it, located through an arched pedestrian alleyway off the main street leading to the Union Garden. Room 2 is not great; its balcony has a view of the back of the building with a sliver of sky. Each of the four rooms has a “specially-designed” bathroom pod dropped like a space ship in the corner of the room. Rather than renovating this historical house to add a bathroom, each of the four rooms has one of these babies deposited into it: the self-contained unit has a tiny sink, toilet, and shower stall, all of which are almost small enough to fit into a Boler trailer, not optimum if you're big. Rooms 3 and 4 are much bigger and more nicely appointed than Room 1, and their balconies actually do have a view of the Pipila monument. The one down side of these 2 rooms is that they are just across the street from a disco that runs from 10:30 until 5 in the morning on Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sat nights; luckily, though, it was only open one night while we were there and, with the windows closed, all we could hear was the thump of the bass. The beds are hard and the furnishings are a bit run-down. The hotel itself has no real lobby; you enter onto a staircase right from the street; hhowever, there is a small area on the landing with a couple of chairs and a sculpture of Don Quixote. The best thing about this place is its location, about a two minute walk from the Jardin de la Union.

Odd Place, Great Location

I was terribly disappointed with this hotel. The pics look fantastic. The decoration tries to be "contemporary" but it was not designed by an expert. The bathroom is ridiculous, it was a plastic cubicle located on one side of the room, seemed to be the bathroom of a plane, not bigger,  a big person cannot fit there, There is quite a lot of noise at night as there is a night club open till 5 am across the street. The  windows have double glasses in the windows but the music can he heard the same. Thee was AC and TV, nice windows and good natural light. The size of the room was big. The service was very good. The location is great, in downtown, but the city literary smells, old sewage system.... I did not like it.

The bathroom seems to be the batroom of a plane

The hotel and the rooms look like as if they never have been renovated. Completely dirty and disgusting. The owner does not care at all of his hotel. 
The bathroom seems to be a former train-bathroom.
Unfortunately we have booked it via Booking.com and could not cancel it. Completely overprized.
