I'm lying in my bed at 6.50 in the morning and I can't sleep because a group of 15 drunk teenagers are screaming in the patio and nobody is doing anything in this hotel. Even though they know they have an acoustic problem and EVERYTHING said in the central patio you can here it in your room, they just don't care. 

That is only one problem regarding this hotel. The rooms suffer from humidity and they are dirty. Super dirty. Just arrived I passed a humid towel in the furniture because there was something sticky and it became black. They also have carpet and they NEVER use a vacuum cleaner because of course, if they would, you can here it. The towels are like paper and sometimes you get one with marks and dirtiness from others. The mattress is a thin line of foam you drawn into it.

That's regarding the rooms. There are cockroaches around, the blanket of the two tables in the patio are never used and cleaned. There is a karaoke bar next to it and you can here like it was inside the hotel. Every morning the cleaning ladies put the radio (an old radio) with full volume in the patio and if you are in there, it will break your ears. The cleaners move everything inside the room and they just leave it somewhere else. They take the freedom of change place of your shampoo, closing your suitcase and put things you have in the table inside. So PLEASE, if you are still wanting o come, be aware of your valuable things and save them in the locker inside the closet. 

I have the bad luck to come to Guanajuato and to stay in here for a long period of time. I've seen a lot of things and would NEVER RECOMMEND it to ANYONE. There are SO MANY THINGS WRONG with this hotel.

Please for business or just to visit around the beautiful Guanajuato you need to rest and if you cannot do that, why would you stay in a hotel then? I hope this is helpful to make you avoid a bad experience.

WORST hotel I've ever been to

The most disgusting experience in Guanajuato. The rooms where full of cockroaches, old towels and dirty beds. They don't take care of the hotel and it's dirty and old. 
The staff was not polite with us. 
Don't stay here!

Cheap accommodation but these people don't know how to maintain the place. The hotel in its entirety is dirty. Not only the room but also the common areas. There's two tables in the patio and they haven't found a way to put clean table cloth on both of them. The room is gloomy and dirty. I had to ask the reception to turn on the hot water before taking a shower ... Seriously don't go there !

What a dump

The location of Hotel Molino Del Rey is very convenient, and the two rooms we got were adequate. They both had little balconies with doors that could be opened, and the bathrooms had ventilation, too. But is was very, very noisy from about 11:30 PM until 4:20 AM.  There's a bar very nearby, so it was hard to sleep.  This is probably just a problem on Friday and Saturday nights.. (We had asked for a quiet location in the hotel, too.)

All in all the Molino del Rey is not a bad hotel to stay in, it is right in the centre and that makes for a very big plus. However, a good advice is to try and get a room with a window. First we were put in a room on the ground floor facing the courtyard. It was very must smelling and hot, not too mention that I didn't enjoy sharing my shower with roaches. Luckily (!) our toilet broke down, and we were moved to another room that had a window that allowed us some very needed fresh air. The interior is very dated, but for the price and the location it is ok. When we were there the hotel was nothing but quiet (herds of overexcited children), but I would think it normally is quite noise-free.
