We enjoyed our stay at hotel la vista. Service was okay, it was confusing finding the hotel and lobby. The hotel deff has an odd layout but the rooms are modern, new and clean. I was actually impressed with the nice bathrooms and spacious room. 

I would say the only disadvantages of staying here is 1) the many stairs to get to the hotel (but the view pays off) and 2) the location is far from the center of Guanajuato - a lot of walking uphill and stairs to get to and from downtown ( but there are shortcuts once you get familiar with the town AND uber is INCREDIBLY CHEAP - like $3-4 to downtown)

I just want to mention that the walking (although annoying at first) actually made me enjoy Guanajuato more. We got to see all the beautiful hidden views and alleyways that make the city so beautiful.

I recommend this hotel and would deff stay here again!

The name serves its purpose.. AMAZING VIEW and nice clean modern rooms!

Wow we were amazed by our hotel room, the view is perfect. You don't need to go to viewpoint El Pipila, you have a better view from your room. The room itself was perfect as well, clean and had everything we needed. Staff couldn't speak English very well but they were very friendly. Wifi wasn't great but OK. Hotel is best if you have a car, since you need to walk stairs to reach the hotel from the old city. It's only a 10 minute walk to the old centre but many stairs. 

It can be a bit windy but for us it wasn't a problem. We slept very nice. We really enjoyed our stay here.

FANTASTIC view!!!!

Booking.com should be ashamed for the extortion we paid for this room. While the view overlooking the city is breathtaking, there is nothing to commend this overpriced place. It was dirty, had no decoration or charm and our suite was a weird shape with 3 double beds, two plastic tables, one chair and a wicker kitchen table and chairs. Nowhere to put luggage, hooks for towels, vanity in the bathroom etc. Stay away!

Awful. Only the view was great

hotel was clean, but comfort was lacking. Beds, sheets, pillows, furniture, towels were all uncomfortable, cheap, non existing, harsh. the place in general is very noisy. the view is great, and technically downtown is close, but the walk is down/up a very steep street with no sidewalk. Service was pretty bad. I called the day before arriving and the lady asked me to call back because she couldn't check my reservation. When we arrived the lady there was rude and standoffish. We were told we had to pay cash - which was not communicated previously - or they would have to charge us extra. Overall, the view was not worth what we paid. When you add up what we paid for uber to drive us back up, it would've been better to stay in the downtown area.

clean, but

The place is very noisy, specially at night! Not only you can hear everything from the other rooms, but the neighbors' dog bark all night and the outside noise from the town and neighbors is loud. The bathroom drainage smells (I notice many stores at downtown have the same issue), however it is clean. It is close to the town center, but you have to walk down the road (not very safe) and then we took the funicular, which was great. The room has a portable fan, but too loud! And we could not open the balcony doors because it was too windy and noisy, so the room was hot at night. The view is beautiful!
