Pleasantly surprised by this little bed and breakfast.  Rooms are spotless with fluffy towels, comfy bed, and nice linens. Other nice touches include nice pottery pitcher with matching cups, best hotel dryer I’ve ever experienced and daily housekeeping!

The common areas are very inviting and always tidy.  It really does feel like a home as the decor flows throughout the house.  I believe the inn was full this weekend (biggest festival of the year) yet we didn’t feel crowded at all. 

Our hosts Hugo and Omar were kind, helpful and mild mannered. 

Easy walk to Centro Histórico.  There’s also a nice walk on Paseo de la Pressa just up the street where you can see stately homes formerly owned by the town hotshots (mine owners).  

I don’t have much experience with bed and breakfasts but so happy we picked this one!

Great home away from home!

This was my sixth trip to Guanajuato and this is the best hotel I have stayed in. The 5-star reviews of Villa Sueno Azul are completely spot-on; cleanliness, breakfast, security, location, etc. I enjoyed the multiple walks to & from Zona Centro every day, more opportunities to stop and pet the local dogs. Very quiet secure sleeping experience, truly a "home away from home" in every sense. Very helpful staff, excellent english spoken. Fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, cereal, sweet rolls, coffee for breakfast.....kept me going strong until early afternoon, and I walked all morning, including climbing up to El Pipila twice a day. Keep the address handy and any taxi can take you right to the hotel. Then you can begin your magic Guanajuato experience!

The Best Hotel Experience in Guanajuato!

I stayed in a cute room with a lovely balcony that had a view of the hills as well as the patio below.  Proprietress speaks excellent English and was very helpful and accommodating.  It was nice to have hot water and access to a refrigerator and microwave.

Charming hotel

Cozy, clean, and reasonably priced with a beautiful outside area for breakfast, cocktails, or just relax. In addition, there’s an extraordinary hands on, friendly and very helpful manager, Maile who goes out of her way to make you feel welcome along with providing lots of useful information. 
If the opportunity presents itself, I’ll stay here again. Conveniently located, it takes approx 10 mins to walk into the central historic area. Along the way you’ll have a chance to see friendly faces, stop for a cup of coffee, or get that extra bottle of water as you start or end your day. It’s a perfect place to stay and has great free WiFi!

Amazing Guanajuato aBnB Accommodation

Villa Sueno Azul provided a safe, lovely and friendly environment during our week-long stay.  The rooms are pretty and comfortable and breakfast was always just right.  The common spaces in the inn are beautifully furnished. Lidia has gone out of her way to showcase the plants in the breakfast area and the roof garden.  And all of the other reviewers were right about Mali.  She is the best. She (and Dacia on weekends) were always right there if you needed them, offering suggestions in perfect English. Oh, and did I mention, great location for getting around in El Centro.

Great B&B Choice in Guanajuato

Sueno Azul was a great home away from home for me during a 2-week stay.  Mali is the Manager and runs the B&B.  She is awesome and also speaks English fluently.  Sueno Azul is about a 15 min walk from the Jardin/Teatro Juarez, and it is completely worth not staying near the Jardin as it's so noisy due to the Mariachi bands playing all night.  Sueno Azul is located in a very quiet area next to the Baseball stadium (except on Sun mornings when the Catholic church across the street rings its bells, but that's all over the city).  There were no in house laundry facilities, but there is a laundromat 100 meters away that cleaned my clothes by the pound - about 80 pesos for 2 kilos - and offered next day service. 

The rooms have charm and personality and the outside lounge area is great for relaxing and is very private.  The entire staff is fantastic and very helpful, the service is very personalized as Mali and her staff get to know you, unlike a large hotel.  Just around the corner from the B&B is a popular area for street food vendors, I had llenos, tamales, and enchiladas minera all at reasonable prices.  Mali knows all the great food spots in GTO too!

Fantastic Home Away From Home

Located on the road leading into the centre from the bus station, this small B&B is a 10-15 minute stroll downhill to the centre. On arrival we upgraded to an interior room as traffic noise may have been an issue, and enjoyed quiet nights...apart from a thunderstorm!  Continental style buffet breakfast with fruit juice, cereals, toast, cakes set the day going, and was taken in a photogenic courtyard.  Hot water and coffee were always available.  Mali provided a friendly, helpful, cheerful welcome and service with sound advice without being intrusive.  

We would thoroughly recommend this B&B as a base for visiting this intriguing, colourful and vibrant city.  A morning walk up to the Pipila monument, rather than from the centre, proved a good decision and less strenuous!

Friendly welcome to intriguing city

It is beautiful, clean and very comfortable.  The breakfast is delicious fruit, pastries and coffee.  Purified water and coffee/tea are available all day and night.  The location is safe and close enough to the City center to walk .  I would gladly return to this lovely place.  The staff is helpful and friendly.

Wonderful experience.

Very beautiful sitting and breakfast area with well cared for plants. Outstanding service! Outstanding cleanliness! Very secure. Filtered water is provided.  Close to the heart of the city, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Outstanding in every way!!

Highly recommended

We liked our four nights at the immaculate  Villa Sueno Azul very much and would definitely stay there again.  We stayed in the Azalea room which is right off the living room and provided us with all that we needed.  Very quiet.   Dasia, Mali and Lidia  could not have been more friendly and accommodating.    Breakfast in the courtyard was very sufficient with juice, tea, coffee, granola, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and buns.

It is a short, interesting walk to Centro which has a lot going for it.  I somewhat compare Guanajuato to what in the States is called a college town.  It has a young, vibrant feel to me.  An enthusiasm I guess I would say.  Whatever, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

For relaxing at the BnB there is the garden rooftop with loungers, tables w/umbrellas, lovely plants and BBQ.

All in all a great time.  Thanks ladies for the care and comfort.
