I stayed here for two nights about two weeks ago.  To say that I was impressed is an understatement.  As a small resort, this hotel offers quiet, peace and serenity.  The entire staff was friendly and offered excellent service.  My room (probably all rooms) have a great view of the Sea of Cortez, even though the beach isn't close. The place is incredibly clean and the food and drinks in the restaurant were excellent and fairly priced.  I will definiately go back here again and highly recommend it to you.

What a wonderful surprise!

Beautiful, clean, small, superb shrimp omelet and staff.  This was a great place to relax by the pool reading a book.  Lounge in the chairs and enjoy the sunshine.  I sat on the porch under the stars after cleaning-up from a day of snorkeling at Cabo Pulmo.  Thank you!

Vista La Ribera

This place is an oasis! You are driving through a rustic town and out of nowhere you come across a quiet and relaxing mini resort with a pool, wifi, excellent food, and great service. The rooms are clean and in mint condition. The resort seemed brand new. The service is excellent and we felt very welcomed! The resort is 30 min from Cabo Pulmo which is the reason we chose this place. Highly recommend it and we hope to come back soon! 

Excellent stay with great views & food. 

We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner many times at Cabanas Vista. Food is always exceptional. We were treated last night with the Catch of the Day being wahoo!! 

Friendly staff and great view of the sea of Cortez.

Cabanas is fairly new with nice rooms, pool, atv/kayak rentals, and a salon with hair/nails/message services. 

I highly recommend whether it is a weekend get away or dinner.

Great Food

This is a great place to chill out and relax enjoying the camaraderie of the very friendly staff in the restaurant/bar onsite just a few steps from your room, take in the vista of the desert and sea a couple of miles away or take in the sun relaxing by the pool, The pool is really not much bigger than a hot tub but that doesn't matter because the beach is only a short drive away. And when you get to the beach you can see a stretch of sand and water that goes on for miles in either direction. Expect to have the beach on your own or perhaps sharing with a few locals .  On the busiest day while we were  there we had to share with a total of ten people  spread over a half mile stretch. 

Vista. La Ribera is  a small accommodation facility with seven rooms and currently expanding with the  building 3 additional rooms. There are not many places to stay in La Ribera.  These cabanas are well above the quality of accommodation that you would expect to find here. You likely won't spend much time in your room while here but it provides all of the amenities that. you need unless you like to do your own cooking. But, why cook when the restaurant /bar provides an excellent choice of dishes including delivered to your room if you like. The internet speed was not lightening fast but then that just encourages you to be out enjoying the open spaces.

There are no nightclubs in this area but lots of sun, sand and relaxation during the day and a star gazers sky at night. That is why many of us come to the Baja  for a holiday.

An Oasis on the East Cape

The folks who run La Ribera are super friendly, speak English and will do just about anything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The motel mostly services Mexican natives who live in Los Cabos, who come to the Gulf of California (inland-facing) side of Baja to escape the craziness of Los Cabos. And for that, the motel is perfect. It is situated at the three way nexus, along the major route that connects San Jose del Cabo with the Eastern stretch of Hwy-1, with Los Barriles to the north and the National Park of Cabo Pulmo to the south. It sits on a hillside about 100 ft above the road that overlooks the beaches at Costa Palmas (where the Four Seasons has its residences). In the morning the sunrises throw off perfect rainbows of red and orange brilliance. And in the evening, the sparse traffic on the road below becomes a trickle. The cabanas are clean, well furnished and serviced daily. The motel offers breakfast included at the restaurant, (also open for lunch and dinner), where you can eat off an American (eggs, bacon, toast) or a coastal mexican menu. In the evening, dinner is very inexpensive -- the traditional shrimp in garlic sauce with homemade tortillas is very good. In the attached bar, mescal, tequila and beers are the favorites. Music are Fifa soccer games are almost always on. The small wading pool and the night fire pit are nice bonuses. Nearby in Santiago, visit the zoo, if it is open. And for scuba or snorkeling, Cabo Pulmo is definitely worth the visit!
