I spent 10 days in Lagos de Moreno and could appreciate this cozy, clean place. The hotel has a wonderful perfume and the staff is really kind and helpful and talk English very well. 

The restaurant is excellent: chef Nacho and chef/waiter Juan are amazing:they are both great cooks, ready to help the customer finding the perfect Mexican flavour. I could taste delicious spicy sauces thanks to them. They're fantastic and everybody knows that Italians are really picky when it comes to eat in a foreign country!!!

Great place. great price!

I spent 3 nights at the hotel.  It has been remodeled and is being nicely maintained.  The staff was very accommodating, room was modern and clean, and the hotel is centrally located within the town.  There is a wonderful park (jardin) next to the hotel that has a great walking path and running area and some exercise equipment.  In the heat of summer it is a great place to relax under the trees.  The river borders the park so it is quite peaceful.  The hotel is walking distance to the central plaza, approximately 4 blocks.  There are several restaurants in the center of town that offer meals from the basic tacos to full set down type meals.  Streets are narrow and parking is at a premium in town.  I left my vehicle at the hotel and walked to everything in the center of town.  If you enjoy visiting historic churches, there are 7 churches within 4 blocks of the center, and each has a grand history.

Good basic hotel

As before, they used the bait and switch.  When went to check in, rate booked was not honored.  Charged higher rate, but included breakfast.  Breakfast good, but not for the amount increased.  Rooms show upgrades,  but sewer smell is very very bad.  I will stay there again, but after previous experiences know they do not honor web booked prices.  Staff very helpful and friendly.  After 5 years of staying at this hotel,finally had internet that they advertised.

Hotel improved, BUT

Nice guys and nice room.
Good location.
Good breakfast.

Bad sewage smell all over the hotel and in the room. 
Adding aerosol with flower smell just makes it worse. 

No WiFi. The receptionist pretended it is just a coincidence, but it was not. 

Blanket is not tempting.

They just don't care.
It could be a nice hotel.

You get what you pay for.

Room was prepaid, and upon arrival, was informed that the room was no longer available and that another room at a 50% increase was available.  After much discussion, I was given a 'closet' for the night, at the prepaid price.  The shower drain did not work, almost running onto the floor when showering.  The room was not clean.  The room was street side, and extremely noisy.  This is a big negative since my previous stay at this hotel.
