One of our favourite type of dining experiences is in a small, quiet and almost out of the way restaurants.  This one fit the bill. Only about 8 tables, the inn keeper was also our host and server. They have a menu with a mixture of mexican and Italian cuisines. We choose pasta in keeping with the European feel. While waiting for our entrees to arrive, Fabian gave us a tour of one of the rooms (there are only 4 rooms in this boutique hotel) and let me tell you ... you want old world charm with modern conveniences and only a block off the main plaza. This is it. Great service, decent food. No wine list, just a house wine or would have been a 5 star experience

Quiet, side street location with super ambiance

The street appeal of the hotel and restaurant is very welcoming. Stopped by in the afternoon to see if we could make a reservation for dinner - no English spoken so a language barrier.  Came back at 7PM and we were seated immediately- no one else was there and by the time we left at 8:30, only one other table was occupied.  The waiter did speak English.  Ordered a bottle of re wine (no wine menu).  He left the building to get the wine.  For dinner we had salads too start.  Capresse served with shaved cheese (unique to us), Ensalda De la Casa (OK) and a Ensalada Verde (OK).  Mains were Fettuccini Alfredo (OK) and a Pollo Valdostana (chicken breast under melted cheese - the chicken was overcooked and tough).  Washroom clean, no credit cards accepted.

Dinner Visit Only

La Casa de las Rosas is a special place...small, personal with the feeling that you are friends with the staff.  Perhaps 4 rooms total.  The food is excellent!

A truly beautiful inn with exceptional food!

We only had dinner here, but were impressed with what we saw of the hotel operation.

The restaurant is terrific!   Small, cozy, intimate, excellent menu, fine service, and in a very convenient location.

If we go back to Morelia, I would seriously consider staying here.
