Our 9th time at this oasis of peace and comfort. We are treated as family and most of the staff had been here for years. The property is beautiful, especially the gorgeous pool area and courtyard. Food is amazing. We were lucky enough to do a cooking class and market tour with Chef Alejandro, a master of using local ingredients  to create unbelievable creative and tasty food. We look forward to our next visit.

A gem to be relished

A beautiful hotel with lovely rooms ,a very nice pool and a gorgeous courtyard where breakfast and meals ate served .Breakfast was delicious and lunch as well. Guests have  a free drink from 5 to 7 so don’t miss this! The hotel is in a great location minutes from anywhere in downtown Oaxaca.

Casa Oaxaca is a gem of an inn! There are so many reasons why we are so glad we stayed here and we're already planning on our return. Here's why we loved Casa Oaxaca:

-Service: The Casa Oaxaca Team is top notch in professionalism, friendly service and just fantastic hospitality. Augustin, the manager, was so helpful and kind when we needed help, the front desk staff is friendly and responsive.  Special shoutout to our friend, Pedro, who made fantastic spicy mezcal drinks with his secret recipe salt and who also took such good care of us when we dined at La Ventana, the hotel restaurant for dinner. Pedro is the best!

-Accommodations: Our room (#3) was just off the gorgeous open-air central patio and the back of our room looked out into the pool area.  It was the perfect room, quiet, very clean, bright, great shower, comfortable king bed and beautiful artwork. And the service staff brought in plenty of towels, toiletries, and most appreciated, stunning bouquets of fresh flowers for our sitting area and bathroom!! These touches make all the difference. The building itself is classic but contemporary, simple and elegant with lots of light, art and places to relax, including a very nice smallish pool.  Plus it's conveniently located and close to the city center, zocalo and markets!

-The Food: The breakfasts (included) are simply divine!  A good size menu so lots of options to choose from and its table service, so you can relax with your great cup of cafe, enjoy the changing daily home-made breakfast bread and jam while waiting for your generous, delicious breakfast. Service is friendly and prompt. 
While not included, don't miss having dinner at the hotel restaurant, La Ventana.  Chef Ruiz is a talented, inventive and creatively thoughtful chef! We enjoyed his cuisine tremendously and could tell he uses fresh, organic produce from their farm. From prawns and lamb with mole to fish tacos and posole - everything was fresh, beautifully prepared and tasty!!  We actually enjoyed our dinner at La Ventana more than the dinner we had at Casa Oaxaca El Restaurante...which is highly ranked!  Service, food and ambiance at La Ventana was hands down better (plus, bonus, less expensive)!

If you are visiting Oaxaca City, don't hesitate one iota, Casa Oaxaca is the best place to stay!  Thanks, CO Team, for taking such good care of us and we look forward to seeing you again soon!!

Casa Oaxaca is a Gem!!

BEDS WERE SO COMFORTABLE; HAD A PRIVATE POOL; THE POOLS WERE PERFECT. THEY WERE FRESH WATER POOLS.  THE STAFF WAS ABLE TO CONNECT US TO TOURS TO THE WATERFALLS AND CITY AND WE ALSO WENT ON A SNORKELING TOUR.  THE FOOD AT THE HOTEL WAS INCREDIBLE--FRESH BAKED "PAN DULCE" CROSISANTS, AND OTHER TRADITIONAL BREADS EVERY MORNING.  I WANT TO GO BACK EVERY MONTH.

Wow such a lovely hotel situated in a most convenient street to visit the town with so many places to see and eat although the food here is lovely and fresh and all the staff go the extra mile with a smile they really help make this a special place.
The pool is a treat to have in a small boutique Hotel lovely after a day sightseeing.

What’s not to like.

This small boutique hotel was centrally located in the town which allowed us to walk to so many areas with ease as well as access to Multiple restaurants. It had a beautiful courtyard where meals are served or just to sit and relax with or without drinks. The breakfast was delicious with enough choices to refrain from being bored (we were not able to partake of other meals at the hotel but the menu looked interesting).  Our room was clean, stocked with plenty of water and fruit, the bed was comfortable. The pool area was a nice respite from the days adventures.  The staff was excellent, easily able to converse in English. 



Beautiful Experience

Unbelievably beautiful and sophisticated. The food could not have more composure and flavor. Excellent service, excellent ambience. Quiet and relaxing. Great for having conversations you want to hear without a lot of noise in the background

Sophisticated and excellent

This is a lovely boutique hotel.  7 unique rooms.  Wonderful restaurant serving in courtyard.  Wonderful, helpful and responsive staff.   Very safe and clean.  Most of the staff speaks English.  Walking distance to everything in the center of Oaxaca de Juarez.  Highly recommend - hope we get to go back!

Wonderful, Boutique Hotel in City Center Area 

We just returned from an 8 day stay at Casa Oaxaca and the property was outstanding on every level!  The boutique hotel is perfectly located, close to everything yet quiet and serene.  The pool area was beautiful, the courtyard a perfect spot for breakfast, which was superb.  But what we treasured most were the people who work at Casa Oaxaca., From Augustin, the GM, to the wonderful folks at the front desk, to the bartender, waitstaff and housekeepers, everyone is delightful and makes you feel right at home.  We'll definitely return and can't recommend Casa Oaxaca highly enough!.

Magical stay at Casa Oaxaca

A fine small hotel, clean with lovely grounds and really great breakfasts in the central courtyard. The restaurant has a limited menu but is all great Oaxaca cuisine and chanes all the time. The bar, open to the public, is charming and has the best mescal marguritas perhaps anywhere! Perfect location and walkable to the zocolo, the regional museum and all the dining, galleries, and shops that Oaxaca is known for. Really worth the cost of the rooms. Secure and sleepable even in the central old town. But the staff is the gem of this hotel, starting with a wonderful manager, the front desk and wait staff, the cleaning staff and the cooks who are led by owner and famous chef Alejandro Ruiz Olmedo.
