Nice inexpensive colonial hotel on the smaller plaza. You can walk out the front door and catch a small collectivio bus and go anywhere. Good for adventurers. The gran plaza is just a couple of blocks away and the mercado is nearby. A great choice if you want to be in the middle of everything!

On the Plazita

Hotel Concordia is located basically in the city center, on the side of the Plaza Gertrudis Bocanegra, a few meters from the market and a square from the Plaza de don Vasco, two or three blocks from the basilica and other city sights such as the House of the Eleven Courtyards, the Temple of the Company and the Museum of Popular Arts and Industries, this hotel is an old mansion that won't have many luxuries but has enough to have a good rest and the price ratio is acceptable, that is, the parking lot with which it is small enough to accommodate a maximum of 8 vehicles, this hotel is a good option for this low season, as you can get to know all the old oak part of the city by walking away from great distances, and it is a clean place to visit.

Not luxurious, but fine.

The Concordia  is in a perfect location being right on  one of Patzcuaro's squares. They also offered free parking. At $44/ night I was skeptical but being the only available accommodations, Easter weekend, took the risk. We were well rewarded. The room was very clean and a reasonable size. The management was very accommodating, bringing extra towels and blankets immediately upon request. We were right in the middle of the action being on the square and within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. If budget is what you want, I highly recommend The Concordia. Note that we used Booking.com for the reservation and did not have to pay or leave a credit card number until we arrived at the hotel.

Inexpensive and Acceptable

Our family stayed at the Concordia Hotel right in Plaza Chica en Pátzcuaro, and we fully enjoyed its central location, the interior parking and the clean rooms. It has been completely remodeled, but still retains its colonial charm. Our large room cost $550 pesos with two double beds. It seemed that they had rooms ranging from a simple one with a bathroom in the hallway, to one with three double beds. It was one of the cleanest we stayed in Mexico and the manager and staff were very helpful. You can bargain a little about the price of the rooms, but for the location and the price, it offers an excellent price-quality relationship. The Friday markets, which stretch out into the old part of the city, as well as the National Teas, are also one of the most spectacular restaurants in the Zapanilla, and you can also enjoy some of the most spectacular sights along the river, as well as some of the most spectacular restaurants in the Zapanilla, along the Zapanilla River, and some of the most spectacular parks in the jungle.

A well-run colonial in the heart of the marketplace.

It was one of the cleanest we stayed at during two weeks in Mexico and the manager and staff were very helpful.  There is some negotiating room on prices but for the location and price it is excellent value.  The Friday markets which wind around the old part of the city are not to be missed, nor are the well-preserved nearby pre-hispanic ruins.  Great side trips are the National Park in Uruapan, a gorgeous jungle garden along a crystal clear river, and Lake Zirahuen with a lovely restaurant right on the shore.
