It just gets better and better. Front desk reception did us a couple of favors for the asking. Valet parking, though can be slow.  For 700 pesos for a king, fan, WIFI and cable TV, two blocks from the zócalo and 5 from Los Sapos, how can you go wrong.  Yes the rooms are small, but otherwise can't be beat. It's probably the 10th time we've been there over the past 8 years or so.

We Keep Coming Back

I recently stayed here for a business trip, the best feature of the hotel is its location, it's just in the heart of the city and within walking distance to the Expo Center. However, our room faced the main street and we could hear everything. The beds were also very hard, and the room had no air conditioner, just a fan. It includes basic toiletries (shampoo, soap, conditioner) but no hair dryer.

Safe, clean and unexpensive

It's a budget hotel, centrally located (near the zocalo). The room is simple, clean, practical. The price does not include breakfast, but there is a restaurant in the hotel (we have not tested it). I found the hotel very noisy: we could hear people talking in the hallway and in other rooms late at night. 

Centrally located but noisy

This visit to Puebla was to pick up friends arriving by bus from the Mexico City airport.  The rooms are small, but very clean and well equipped.  I had a double and my friends' room had two singles.  For 510 pesos a night, or under $40 USD, you can't get a better deal given the location, perks, and quality of service.  Only downside this trip was that because of the time of year (just after xmas), it took very long for the chauffeur to get my car from the complimentary parking garage a couple of blocks away.  Advice:  ask how long it will take to get your car, and then tell front dest to have it brought, so you can wander about while it is en route.  Alternatively, go get it yourself.  The hotel next door (Gilfer) has its own underground parking lot, but I don't find the room finishes as updated as those at Palace, so keep going back to Palace.  This visit, the room only had two prong contacts, and my laptop had three.  Immediately the manager sent someone to buy a converter, and in 15 minutes I was in business.  There's really no reason to switch to another hotel on subsequent visits.  Lots of hot water, great service, quiet (most of the time), location close to Los Sapos, the zócalo, etc.

Back Again!

We spent one night in this hotel on our way to Oaxaca. The hotel is well located near the centre of the city. There is a restaurant in the hotel and several interesting restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. The way the hotel is constructed allows sound to travel and we found it quite noisy in the evening. We could hear people talking in the hallways and the elevator which was nearby was quite noisy.
It is a budget hotel so we didn't expect 5 star amenities.
