Location for the hotel is good. You get basically what you pay for, the rooms are not all that clean and the people at the reception are not very friendly. We booked the room for 2 nights but missed our flight, so we arrived on the second day. We ended up not even staying the night since according to the reception desk, I was getting phone calls directly to the hotel from my work. Something that was not possible since not a soul knew where we had gone to vacation. The person at the reception desk was adamant that I call the number, but I refused thinking they were trying to sell timeshares or what not. The person at the reception ended up going to our room 5 minutes later with phone in hand trying to get my wife to take the call saying it was my job calling back. I was in the bathroom at that time. She refused and told him I would call back. I was still not persuaded to call, and I told her if she was curious that she should call. She ended up calling and she ended up being told that they wanted to speak to me and that if I didn’t take the call they would come into our room and kill us. They told her they were from some cartel and that they had found a car under my name with guns and drugs and wanted to know if I was part of a cartel etc. We were outta that hotel in the next 5 minutes. I can’t prove it, but it seemed to me that some of the people at the reception desk are part of the extortion group. I have stayed in PE several times before but mainly in Zicatela at the hotels "Olas altas" and "Ines". We decided to stay at the Premier hotel because we were only staying 2 nights to visit some restaurants before heading for Chacahua and the location was walking distance from the chedraui supermarket and the bus station and from our favorite beach which was Carizalillo.
