I reserved thru a website and by the time we arrived they said the rate was different and wanted to charge us more than l had confirmed though the lady at the front desk wasn't really helping at the beginning but end up helping us with a better rate as a walk in she gave us nice rooms and ended up reserving an extra one, if you are planning to not being in the room is ok because its close to everything downtown. The beds are a little uncomfortable and old.

last minute...

We arrived late on Friday 3rd Feb 2017 for the puente to meet some friends.  On arrival, we were handed towels and informed that if we'd put our car in the overnight car-park around the corner that, when we paid, we'd be refunded 60 pesos (per day) which was nice as the Hotel is in the centre and doesn't offer parking.  We off-loaded our goods and went out.  In front of the Hotel is a nice bar with an open court-yard and live music. The Hotel is very central, basic with comfortable beds and hot water.  For me, that's all there is to a hotel when you pretty much spend all of your time out of your room.  Breakfast was on offer in the Hotel for 50 pesos, 40 if you book the night before so, we took advantage and had some chilaquiles and juice which were really nice.  We found the hotel to be quiet.  We were on the top floor in room 23.  The only negative is that there are no wardrobes or, even a tube to hang clothes up even though, I would argue that there is space in the room to do this.

Meandering in Queretaro for the weekend.

I "had to" sleep here because my favourite hotel in Queretaro had no vacancy, and this was the closest place that still had rooms. It is a budget hotel, although prices have gone up a little bit recently. The rooms are lined up along a corridor, and the windows overlook the passageway that leads to the rest of the rooms. So, consider yopu'll have to keep the windows and curtains shut to avoid other people from peeping into your room. The beds are maybe too soft and old, and the bathroom too small. Also the TV has little channel choice and there is no air conditioning. So, ask for a fan at least and hope it's not mosquito-season, otherwise you'll have to sleep under your linen despite the heat. All in all, its just an emergency solution. One thing I did not appreciate was that they charged for letting me use the computers they had in the reception since the wi fi was not strong enough to reach the room.

Good "emergency" solution right in the heart of the town

Queretaro is just a perfect history lovers town. The history combined with so many fascinating restaurants, cafes, museums, churches and hotels makes one feel especially when walking around in the evening as tho one has gone back in time. The smells, the feelings and the atmosphere are just amazing. This hotel is perfectly located, well priced, includes breakfast in the price and is an old building which was once the mansion of the former Spanish Governor.

Good location, close from everything.
Bathroom is very small but it's clean. Good deal if you pay a reasonable price. 
The hotel was very quiet because we were a few people but i guess it could be noisy if more people ..
